A lot of local and state politicians have blood on their hands.
As of Sept. 5, there have been 83 ambush-style attacks on 101 law enforcement officers this year – 15 officers have been killed, according to the Fraternal Order of Police.
There have been 272 police officers shot in the line of duty this year (+24% from 2021 YTD; +25% from 2020 YTD), and 34 were killed.
In the 2007 I had a Construction Administrator working with me in El Segundo, she and her hubby moved out of Compton and bought a house in Palmdale. A couple of years later they were back in Compton. The way she put it “The only thing buying a house in Palmdale did was make my drive longer…”.
This is a sad day in law enforcement. A young man who wanted to serve and help people. Third generation Sheriffs Deputy. I hope and pray they catch whoever did this. That young man never saw it coming. I know that the coward/s who committed this violent acts are going to get caught and justice will be served. I was angry just reading this story.
Unfortunately we’re living in a Charles Dickens novel.
It’s the best of times and the worst of times! A Tale of Two parties. Something has to give. I don’t want this to be the new normal!
An officer being killed on the job, was the rarest thing while growing up!
This should not become common!
One person is responsible for all of this, and he’ll never remember it happened!
