I have both but use the leather all of the time

Obviously leather is more form fitting, but for carry I prefer the solidness of Kydex. Two reasons. 1. Fair amount of retention 2. Can re-holster singlehanded.

I give you that one, my Leather IWB makes it nearly impossible to reholster without taking it off my belt.

how about a Kybrid Holster? fully kydex- with a horse hide backing-- it is custom made to your pistol. i carry a full size 13 hours a day AIWB.

Kydex. Always completely open, super consistent retention, thin.

Hybrid. Leather against the skin, with a Kydex shell for the firearm.

Definitely a Kydex holster.

Leather, but I’m a retrograde

@Lu-Can I also use the lock leather and find it sturdy enough that I can holster with 1 hand. That said I also have a kydex, my first CCW, and a hybrid, which I do like. So far my favorite is the lock leather.

I have no problem holstering one handed with leather. I do carry OWB.
