Jeff coopers threat risk levels

Not always, I was once working inside the Humane Society of Broward County, at the time of my encounter I was standing on a ladder trying to rehang some cables that where drooping, once I was just about done I hung the staple gun on my tool pouch, then a rather nice looking female walked up to me while I was still on the ladder, removed the staple gun from my tool pouch pulled the cuffs of my jeans down and stapled them to the ladder.

After which she pronounced “now you are mine.”

Very strange I pulled my legs loose from the ladder she placed the staple gun back in my tool pouch handed me a slip of paper with a address written on it then told me she gets off work at four and requested I stop be her place after I get off work.

I wasn’t quite sure what to do as I never encountered a female that aggressive before but I decided to take a chance.

I stopped by and she greeted me at the door totally naked and from that point on it turned out to be a very nice stay over at her place.

It turned into a twice a week or so thing and as a result my girlfriend figured out what I was doing and dumped me, but that didn’t matter.

But what a strange way to set up a date.

It went on for almost five years then she lost her job and had to move out of her apartment, with nowhere to live I let her move into my home.

That worked real well, I knew how to cook so we ate well and she taught me how to play guitar.

You left the church or the security team?

I live in Yellow.

My all-time favorite analogy is to bring up driving. A good, experienced driver will be in condition yellow. They know what vehicles are by them, are actively looking for areas of risk (parked cars, blind spots, vehicles on side roads with drivers not looking in their direction, etc etc). That’s how you should generally be when out in public and not driving, such as when on foot.

I myself am condition white a lot of the time I’m at home, that is why I have doors and windows that lock, strengthened doors, alarms, dogs, etc. I’m not interested in spending my relaxing time at home looking out the windows and keeping security camera monitors in front of me and all that. I lock the doors to my home and I can relax, play a game, watch TV, read a book, which are things you can’t really do and stay in Yellow, IMO/IME.

I don’t know how a person can perpetually be in condition orange based on my understanding of the codes, with nothing in particular to be focused on or keyed on or looking for, I don’t know how you can actually be in orange.

I agree. You have to let yourself be in White at home or you will be a neurotic mess. This is very doable if one has the proper security measures in place. Every warrior deserves a castle they can relax in.

You just have to take off your armor for a while.

One could say that being white at home is required but some yellow needs to be required. If you are totally out of it and focused out and the wife says something, are you listening to her? or did you just totally ignore her? Now, in a locked bathroom sitting on the throne reading the paper or a magazine, that is when you can totally zone out! At least I do!

Being in yellow does not have to hurt. It actually helps you to learn things about what is going on around you no matter where you are, and you do not have to have your head on a swivel. Yellow is just being aware. Having your head on a swivel is orange. Something is going on that you need to know what is going on. You should be analyzing all of the information you can about everything around you. Making plans, seeking routes of escape or avoidance. Figure out what it will take to get back to yellow and not get into red.

I interpret it differently. To me, if your head isn’t “on a swivel” (now, there are degrees, I don’t mean a 360* scan and assess every 10 seconds) then you cannot be aware of what’s going on around you. Without looking around, including clearing your baffles/checking your six periodically, you can’t really be aware of anything other than what is right in front of you (can’t hear everything that goes on)

In reality I suppose it’s a sliding scale with degrees or shades. Like, to me, being in white at home doesn’t mean if my wife sitting on the couch next to me starts talking to me, I don’t even know it. To me it means, if she walks down the hallway while I’m in the family room, I might not know what she was carrying in her right hand at the time, where if we were out in public and someone walked down the hall next to use with a screwdriver in their hand I would hope to actively notice it

So maybe a light hue of yellow maybe? Valid points to be sure.

I am pretty much orange outside my home, anyone that has encountered a “bad experience” will.

I suspect most people on the street are white or less, just going about life with no concern about what’s happening 2 feet from the end of their noses.

If I were a woke liberal dead brain pan; I could take this completely off the rails. But I’m not and will leave it there.

Yea now that you put it like that, I guess it does look a bit suspicious. So I’ll hide behind “Context Matters.”.

I have had a class on how to tail a person of interest without being caught. With this you learn how to spot someone following you as well.
