I've always wanted to ask this. About a militia

some thoughts… after looking at what some states say about militias… don’t call it a militia?

call it a county, city, or town defense network???

contact the local sheriff and ask them to operate/run it??? (requirement of being under state
supervision)

send out flyers/mail that ask people what they would be willing to do to support such?

note: not asking them to be armed and fight… although they may find themselves doing so…

example transport equipment/medical supplies etc…

talk to neighbors etc???

just some thoughts… try to deal with all the legalize regarding militias…

To the American public.

The most recent rescue I took a hand in was truly horrifying. A man, woman and (an X, I am not going to share about), were going down the Interstate and the woman who was in the passenger seat, shot the man, who was the driver, n the head with one of those .22 magnum mini revolvers (fyi, do not think for one second that is not a man stopping round). It did catastrophic damage and they wrecked. We quickly triaged the scene, and began to work on the woman The woman’s right arm shredded to the bone on her right forearm, and I mean the bone, no shreds of flesh from the elbow to the wrist. It was readily apparent what had happened, since she still had the firearm in her left hand. I secured the firearm in a baggie after a couple of pictures to show the police what and why I removed it into a baggie. It took over 30 minutes for Police and EMS to arrive. So me and a nurse rescued her, put out the fire in the car, tourniquet’d her wounds where necessary, stopped the bleeding out from the other wounds, packed the wounds with sterile bandages, splinted her arm and both legs (she was pinned in the car they had to use the jaws of life ,around her waist but legs were clear, put a neck brace on her, kept her lucid and talking.

When the Police arrived I gave them the firearm in a baggie, turned my phone over to them so that there was a chain of custody, made a report, showed them the photos, and kept on treating her. Once LifeFlight arrived, I called the ER they were heading to. They know of me from previous times interacting with them as a volunteer first responder. I have them the details (fyi if you use any type of tourniquet, write the time on the tourniquet if there is a spot and on their forehead if you can but the exact time).

So why am I relating this story. There was a third victim, who was evicted from the car and it was horrible I’m not going to get into the details. But we (the nurse and I) still saved the woman’s life. It’s not on me to judge her. I still get sick with fury thinking about that evil woman I saved.
.
But a militia that did something like that, I can get behind that.

Edit cleaned up punctuation and spelling.

LifeFlight restocked my Emergency Medical Kit. weird addition to the post. You think about strange stuff.
