You may not be one of the people, or even know any of the people, who can’t afford a place to live, food, fuel to get to work, etc. I do. It wasn’t like that before the current crew took office. You may not know any veterans living in the streets while illegals live in hotels. You may be behind that. It sure sounds like you’re okay with it. You may enjoy being accosted by the homeless. I don’t. Stepping on needles downtown? Lovely. Who wouldn’t like that. And those lovely wars we’re funding and in by proxy. Who doesn’t love war?

I honestly don’t know how anyone can objectively look at the world we live in today and genuinely believe that Trump got a fair trial.
I am not comparing Trump to these other people so please don’t take me out of context. I am comparing governments. But keep in mind that Daniel was found guilty by his government and thrown into a den of lions simply for praying. Joseph, after being sold into slavery into Egypt was wrongly accused by his boss’s wife and thrown into prison. Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent, yet sentenced him to death anyway.
Ponder this reality: A government killed the only innocent man that every lived.
Every government official elected to office should have to come to terms with the above truths.
I’m not trying to be preachy. Use secular examples if you want. Government after government after government has/have tried its people under false pretense and even killed them by the millions.
The court is a government institution tried by government-employed prosecutors. I’m not anti-government. But I think history has given us multiplied millions of reasons to at the least express healthy skepticism of official government narratives.
Courts are not infallible. Go ahead. Tell me how guilty someone is just because they were found guilty in a government court. I respectfully and not so respectfully need more than that to be convinced.
I’m not really a huge Trump fan. I’m not arguing that Trump is a moral man. When was the last time we had a moral president? They are all corrupt at some level. But this “Trump is a convicted felon” garbage is just that–garbage.
Oh, and by the way, just because someone loses in court doesn’t mean that they won’t win on appeal. Seems like one or two cases have been thrown out. I would be shocked if we don’t see some stuff overturned on appeal. So will we correct the narrative when he ultimately wins?

I agree with some of your comment. There is hate speech and misinformation being spewed here. Some of it is by liberals like yourself and some of it is from conservatives like me. I would prefer a more open-ended discussion on subjects such as the assault weapons ban and nation-wide constitutional carry. Unfortunately, whenever such items are brought up there is the wailing and nashing of teeth by liberals. I know there are liberals who are not so vindictive. But i have yet to talk with one on these forums who is not a Lenin/Lennon fanatic. If you would like to quell these negative feelings why not start a REAL discussion? Surely a Rolling Stone reader would have a wealth of ideas. P.S. I don’t think the word “platform” is relevant in this context. This is not X. It’s not even a letter of the alphabet compared to the highly populated mega platforms. No disrespect intended here. But this is NOT a platform built on mass subscriptions.

If one could substitute the word people where liberals or conservatives were concerned it would make a whole lot more sense. Then we could focus on the issue at hand instead of focusing on our political beliefs. When we focus on politics we fix political issues. When we focus on gun issues we fix gun issues. It doesn’t matter what race, religion or political agenda the PERSON has. If we want to focus on race religion or politics I think we can focus on that. I am a white male so nobody can beat that.

Please reread my post. I didn’t talk about Trump. I talked about corrupt governments-a point you didn’t address.
I obviously can’t see the future any more than you can, but my point about appeals was simply this: things do get overturned on appeals. Cases have been thrown out.
Further, my question is this, will you change your narrative and admit that Trump is innocent if the case is overturned on appeal?
We all have bias. My bias isn’t so much for Trump as it is skeptical of the government. I laid out some good reasons for that skepticism. Feel free to refute them if you care to.
I maintain my position. We have reasons to be skeptical of the institution of and individuals in government-on both sides of the political aisle. Reread that. I am admitting that both parties are corrupt.
Point #2 is that the system and society have a bias just like you accused me of having. Come on man! There’s enough bias to go around. Go ahead and admit it.

coming out of your mouth. The judge gave instructions to the jury that they only had to agree on one of the 3 predicates to decide on a verdict not unanimously. It went 16/8/10 on the 3 predicates. Never before has a jury been given that set of instructions.
Do better. You are truly being completely and totally in the bag. Read the actual judges instructions not what the media said because it becomes a sh*t show. The instructions are 55 pages long. The 3 predicates start on page 30.
Florida case has been dismissed.
The Georgia case is in serious jeopardy due to prosecutorial misconduct.

Honest question, not being snarky, but why can you doubt that courts outcome but I’m not allowed to doubt this courts outcome? Serious question, what am I missing?
