How many magazines (total) are you comfortable with?

This is what I have to deal with. You cannot buy 30 round magazines anymore. I have like 18 of them. All magazines must only carry 10 rounds. I had 12 - 25 round magazines for my CMMG banshee 45 and 8 - 13 round magazines for it too. So, since I had the magazines, I purchased a Glock 21 so I could have a pistol with more than 10 rounds.

Now I have to take care of my precious equipment because even parts are hard or impossible to get behind the blue Curtains. ”Washington State”

CA residents look forward to the next “Freedom Week” when we have a window to purchase magazines with more than 10 round capacity. Sad.

My EDC have 4 minimum. 2 for defensive rounds, and 2 for range use.

Range toys only have 2 magazines each, except my old FN which only has one.

My competition gun has 5 magazines, and more are on the way

Depends on what I plan on using the firearm for although lately I have been stocking up on rifle magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds in preparation for the ban my state is trying to implement. For the most part for my pistols I generally buy 2 extra magazines, same with my hunting rifles. When it comes to my non-hunting rifles oh lord, who knows how many I will buy and most often it’s because of aesthetics. I went through a phase where I hated the semi-translucent plastic magazines, then appreciated the ability to easily see how many rounds I had left. Plus let’s be real magazines are cheap, the ammo we put in them is generally worth more than the magazine so buying them never feels that painful. Like I would never cry if I lost an empty 30 round magazine, if I lost one full of ammo though, that would suck.

I like (6) per handgun and (10) per rifle.

Hear you brother. In the state I’m in, body armor was banned, after I got mine. It was not until almost the last day of the deadline - I was able to register mine, so I’m legal, “grand fathered in” per se. But they made it so difficult to figure out the minutia of the law.

Makes absolutely no damn sense to me. That right there says, to me anyways, “We, the Gubment, do not want you protected. When we come to your house we want it to be as G D easy as we can make it.”.

Still looking, mostly in Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming. I have two years before I retire so, that is where I am at. I would jump if I find the right place.

There’s no ‘set’ number for me—’it is what it is’ (Sherriff Longmire! :cowboy_hat_face: )

In Combat it was as many as I could comfortably carry===fortunately the Military made it easy in most of us carried the same same weapons (Caliber’s anyway). A lot of us carried a Belt for the M60 also because….if he ran out we could all get dead. So it was an average of 8-12 AR Mags and 6 for the Sidearm (@ least). The unfortunate benefit was the ability to strip the dead. It sucked but saved our lives.

At home? My Lil Taurus came with (3) to start, with the option of buying an additional (6) at a reduced rate of $19 each mag (Came with a nice carry case). So I stuck with @ least (6) each for all the other toy’s. My M&P has (12) …because it’s my favorite semi. Wise folk’s along the way have said ‘Don’t waste precious Range time reloading’ so I took that to heart . On the AR side I have 3 carry boxes (Ammo cans) @ 15 each all MAGPUL and Steel. No cheapie bargain basements– too many unnecessary problems.

Three minimum for range favorites. It allows me to pause and rethink what I’m doing wrong. :expressionless_face:

When I purchased my PCC, My Loving Wife told me, very sternly, “No more guns until I get new furniture.

She didn’t say anything about ammo or accessories.
