Glock doesn’t change too much….for the good. Still cheap ass iron sights and now, no mos??

Glock doesn’t care about the average consumer and with other options available, I won’t be buying another unless its a smoking deal on the used market

I don’t know if this is a fact, but somebody said that V series was a great opportunity to get rid of all the old slides, that nobody wanted to buy anymore.
Simply engrave V.. and voilĆ .

Am wondering if they are getting rid of old stock, like you suggested, and then gonna introduce a modern gen 6

I’ve been seeing this as their plan for last 2 years…

And my guess is Glock is thinking about incorporating FCU in Gen6… at least this is what I’d be expecting.
No more wierd numbering.. Just one or two FCUs and you can build Glock how you want it.

He’s been hating on Glock for a long time. I recall he made people mad with his ā€œwhy I’m not getting a 19x videoā€.

Many of his points are fair. I still lean towards Glocks. I like them. BUT the fact the V series is non optics ready, and they still sell those plastic sites is crazy to me. He had the malfunctions, I’ve seen other videos without malfunctions so I’m not sure time will tell. (One of the cheaper guns he mentions I have heard others have issues with). The V series looks like very minimal changes so the gun in theory should be just as reliable, but I still hate the premise of the V series. I’ve used Glock customer service and found them just as good if not easier than S&W.

I like M&Ps, BUT let’s say I buy an M&P Compact right now. The stipple job is too aggressive for carry to me so I’m going to have to address that. The sights are nicer than plastic, but I’m still going to replace them (and they are harder to replace at home than Glock sights). So in the end I might save $50 with M&P but I’m going to lose that savings having a gun smith put the sights on.

I like the Glock trigger more than my M&Ps (my 2.0s have good triggers but I don’t like the hinges, I know they have moved on from them.).

I’m still on the Glock train. They are simple, they are reliable (we will see about V). There is definitely an argument to be made for price vs. what you get. They need to lower the prices and or put some darn metal sights on them. (My 19x has stock Glock night sights and I kept them. They are nice).

You have been shooting both - Glock and M&P, so you know their pros and cons.

What I don’t like about Glock Company is that they act the same way as Apple… they keep their prices (even the product is not great anymore) because people are buying this stuff all the time.

Comparing to M&P:

  1. M&P super aggressive grip can be sanded down to your needs… you cannot add texture to Glock without making changes to the plastic
  2. M&P hinged trigger can be easily changed to Apex one - you change trigger shoe only, but to improve Glock, you need to work on whole firing control assembly

I’m not against the Glock, but Company thinking doesn’t match with their Customers’ thinking :zipper_mouth_face:

A removable FCU is nice.
