Home Defense: Door Jambs

If you read about my friend earlier this week, you know she was using a door jamb when someone tried to break into her home (What would you do: someone in your yard when you come home late at night) That door jamb kept her home protected - to a certain extent. She came home before they could get through the jamb.

Do you use a door jamb? What about window jambs? Which ones do you recommend?
