I am not going to do a barter with someone who wants a 1099 for it, the Government get’s plenty of cash for my labor that is paid in cash. They are not getting a dime because I did some work for some eggs, or for some vegetables, or a whole cow.

My local truck stop/restaurant has a card price and a cash price which is a few dollars less. I try to always pay by cash and use the card price for figuring the tip for the wait staff. They do such a great job and all of them know me and my wife by name.

I like cash! It cannot be hacked like plastic. And you can physically watch it disappear as you spend it. When it’s gone, you cannot overspend. Plus, how else are u going to teach the young ones about the value of money?? Just sayin’

Young ones today need to learn the value of life and love of country or money of any sort will be useless.
I stopped using cash when mugging became a hobby then went back to cash when skimming became the new hobby! No matter what we end up using to acquire goods, bad actors will always find a way to take it from you!

The key word in all you said is control and he who has the control will do so with impunity. Even our politicians have shown that. No system will be perfect but with somewhat of a choice or backup maybe those who seek to control can be thwarted.
