I must have missed it when it became cool for Republicans to want to pay taxes they shouldn’t have to. I am old so this is kind of a new thing for me, as a Libertarian I have a hard time requesting a 1099 from a friend who wanted me to rebuild his engine for half a cow. I have the tools and parts and he has the cow, why does the Government need to get involved and how do I quantify the cost of a service that I don’t charge anyone for? Makes it really hard for me to estimate values when I don’t do something for a living.

I’m not a Republican, and it isn’t “cool” to commit tax fraud, no matter which political party you believe in.
The half a cow has a cost, and you admit that by stating you used that value to obtain a service that has a value. The government gets involved in all financial transactions. Not paying appropriate taxes is tax fraud.
Quite sure you don’t give away all your meat for free.

I’m already living cashless since ‘Auto Joe’ and his Puppeteer the Filthy Kenyan ruled the roost for the last 10 years----what’s the big deal.

I absolutely want to retain the use of cash for all those possibles. I need cash for stuff all the time. Got my SKS via cash from the FFL but the AR via card from the mfgr. I fear the totality of an all digital system, because when someone screws it up, and you =know= they will, it will be disastrous. When the gov’t can stop the individual (or ALL!) accounts, you’re up sht creek.

I jokingly ask the cashier if they take cash. You’d be surprised at the LOOKS you get from people in line and the cashiers when you do. LOL

Exactly. We need backups for everything, including credit cards or digital money.
And when you want to pry something out of someone’s hands more inexpensively, handing them cash usually does it in a hurry.
I always carry plenty of cash. A lot of the smaller stores around here charge you 3% if you use a credit card. I don’t know if that means everybody is crooked or smart, but that is the way it is.
I grew up understanding that cash is ALWAYS good and is a mandatory acceptable form of payment.
