Just initials Don, from IA
Thanks, Iāll check them out before I head to the range tomorrow.
what are progressive lenses???
I have glasses for shooting and glasses for computer and glasses for readingā¦
ya a pain to keep changing them but that works for meā¦
OH and shooting glasses should be ballistic grade!!!
I used to do that Dude, had 7-8 pairs of reading glasses laying all over the place. My wife talked me into trying progressives, never went back to the reading glasses.
They donāt have the line from reading to distance. They do it gradually.
I wear progressive lenses so i mounted a Lazer and that soled that problem
I also struggled with progressives. I learned through much practice the muscle memory to bring the gun on target and then looking over my glasses to align the sights. My edc pistols are all of the same platform and for me have a very natural grip and point of aim. Hopefully this method or some variation helps. Just keep in mind that muscle memory is a great advantage in shooting.
Thanks deranged, I am starting to learn to be a little more patient with it. So many different ideas that help, just going to have to try them one at a time to find what works for me.
Find an optician that shots. Last time I got my eyes checked I talked to my optician about problems seeing while shooting. She tweaked the prescription for my progressives to make sure I can focus on the front sight without tilting my head up or down. Has worked great for iron sites for me.
Red/green dot, still an issue for me, but that may be Iām just a slow learner.
Greetings & welcome, Stephen! Weāre thankful that youāve chosen to join us.
Take care & be well
I put a lazer on my Beretta and it works great i also purchased a Eschelon with a red dot and it has become my EDC. I like having both eyes open
I do have lasers on our home defense pistols. Hand held light and laser for things that go bump in the night.
That should work out pretty good. It took me awhile to get used to them but its much better i think.
Progressive wearer here, too. I wound up having my near vision field raised so itās higher in the lenses. Itās helped.
