Very uncomfortable.
I put these on my Walkers, game changer.
ABSOLUTELY!
I switched my pair over to the gel this year and love them!
Yep, all my over the ear Walkers have the jell pads on them. Yes absolutely different animals with those on.
For what itās worth just about every experienced shooter I know, and that includes MANY that get their equipment from Uncle Sam, is running Walkers. I canāt think of anyone that has experienced any type of failure. I had ONE wire that frayed a bit under hard use. 1/2ā of electrical tape fixed that for good.
I own I think 4-5 sets of Walker Digital Quad Connect with blue tooth ($59 right now on sale at MidwayUSA!) and every time Iām training anyone or shooting with anyone that shows up with passive muffs I make them take theirs off and Iāll lend them a set of mine.
The Quads have 4 microphones and that allows you to get a clear directional sound from front, side or back so youāre not wondering where the voices and sounds are coming from! Thatās HUGE and ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL when shooting as a team. You need to know where everyone is and shot direction(s) without moving your head on a swivel. They rock for hunting too!!!
Nowadays, I almost exclusively wear the Walker Silencer 2.0 BT rechargeable which BTW MidawayUSA has them on sale for $99 from their normal $249 price.
Been running those for 3-4 years and they are a true game changer. They also give you clear directional sound and connect to my iPhone flawlessly.
I keep them in my Jeep at all times and plug in on my way to shooting so the charge is topped off when I get to the range. They run for hours and itās awesome to listen to my favorite metal rock while I run-n-gun and be able to stop and take a call from my wife anytime without leaving the firing line.
My biggest problem is having to write my name all over every Walker I own because people seem to āforgetā who owns them and they end up in other folks bags all the timeā¦
Oh Ok, that is very fixable as stated above. Thanks for the clarification and I hope your selection meets your criteria.
Damnit midway! Donāt tell me my password isnāt correct! @$$#0!3$
sorry
AXIL Trackr Blu

but the loudness of a gunshot typically ranges between 140dB to 190dB.
85dB is generally considered a āsafeā hearing range.
So, youāre saying that the brake valves venting under the dash at 130db and the constant racket of the engine, ventilation/circulation fans and other various pneumatics being 85-90db might just be a bit louder than is safe for hearing?
I tried to reset my password,⦠no email for like 10 minutes, requested a new code, got the email,⦠wrong code⦠then the page wouldnāt reload when I got the second email,⦠had to request a THIRD code because I couldnāt get back to the correct pageā¦.
Wrong code⦠WHAT THE ACTUAL F!
Screw it, Iāll just check out as a guest,⦠too many code requests, wait 15 minutes and request a new code.
Half hour later same freaking messageā¦.
Fine!
Iāll check out as a guest with my alternate email,ā¦..
$200 later, I have two sets of those buds on the way!
Hopefully my dip dog doesnāt eat them!

If those numbers are correct, then yes. What kind of vehicle are we talking about?

Youāve probably already heard of decibelsāthe unit of measurement for sound. You may also know itās abbreviated dB. But do you know the difference between safe and dangerous dB levels? Sounds at or below 70 dB are considered safe for your hearing....
By law, your employer should be providing you with proper PPE for noise exposure. (SEE SECTION B. 1)

Well dammit! You worked HARD for those!!! I promise you will enjoy them tremendously, especially at that price
Howard-Leight (the same folks that make earplugs) have several options for shooting and other working environments.

Ok, that is very fixable as stated above
It isnāt just the ear cups with the Walkers Iāve tried, itās the headband, too. Itās definitely my pinhead thatās the issue!

Buy cheap earplugs or earbuds and test them. You may eventually find those more comfortable and more useful for your shooting style.
Worried about NRR or SNR? Passive earplugs give the best protection, Bluetooth earbuds gives the same protection as muffs, if you buy a good product.
Itās always about balancing between your style/comfort and safety/protection. The same what we are doing with concealed carry holsters and shooting glasses
Since I donāt have to pay for a 200 dollar tax stamp im buying a suppressor for every thing I own that I can attach one to. Itās made firing my favorite AR a hoot.
Last range day, I was shooting my 5.56 Tavor with the can, my buddy was shooting his also suppressed .300blk,
Then he switched to his non suppressed 6.5 Grendel, ouch! Yeah I wasnāt wearing earpro.
So do keep that in mind when shooting with friends!
Got the 35% off and happy you made that recommendation. I ordered the https://goaxil.com/products/mx-electronic and got it for 60. Not bad. I will double up but at least I will be able to hear the range Master.
