White House Releases New Memo Exposing Democrats’ Demand for Nearly $200...

A newly released White House memorandum just blew the lid off Democrats’ latest betrayal of the American people.

Buried inside their continuing resolution (CR) is a demand to repeal President Trump’s historic America First healthcare reforms, the very safeguards that protect U.S. citizens from footing the bill for illegal aliens’ medical care.

According to the memo, if Democrats succeed, taxpayers will be on the hook for nearly $200 BILLION in healthcare benefits for illegal immigrants and non-citizens over the next decade, almost enough to fund the entire Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for the same period.

The Working Families Tax Cut Act (WFTCA), signed into law by President Trump, was designed to end taxpayer subsidies for illegal immigrant healthcare and redirect resources to the most vulnerable Americans. It:

Not in the accounting field but 'i wondered, when undocumented immigrants become hospitalized, who pays for those expensive hospital bills?

If a citizen has Medicaid, the government pays for it via the state fund. I heard that some states have a similar fund for the undocumented to reimburse hospitals, but by diagnoses, no by time spent in a hospital. Also heard some immigrants pay taxes but never get Medicare or SSI/SSDI.

What a complex world. Be kind, be respectful. But I’d never want to test the system as a patient in a foreign country I travel.

Short answer: Taxpayers

Those without insurance or other means to pay their hospital bills, which includes but is not limited to illegal immigrants, get “billed” by the hospitals as indigent care.

Hospitals are allocated certain amounts for indigent care based on a number of factors which include the percentage of indigent care to paid care, their location, number of beds, care offered by the hospitals, etc. That money that is allocated primarily comes from state funds, nonprofits (in some cases), and then from federal funds. The first two of those also receive funding, in part, from federal funds. Ultimately, any monies that a hospital has paid towards indigent care is either paid back to them via taxpayer (state & federal) or is absorbed through monies received via paid services. This is one of the reasons, there are many, that hospital bills are so expensive, why insurance companies are billed a lower amount than if you were to pay out-of-pocket, and why insurance premiums, co-pays and deductibles are so high.

When you converge all the avenues of funding to a single point, that point is directly on the shoulders of those who have jobs, have insurance, and pay taxes.

Furloughed SBA staffers unleash on Democrats for shutdown in searing...

“Staffers with the Small Business Administration who were placed on furlough set up automatic response emails pinning blame on Democrats for the shutdown, which they said already has affected hundreds of businesses from accessing millions in funding.

“I am out of office for the foreseeable future because Senate Democrats voted to block a clean federal funding bill (H.R. 5371), leading to a government shutdown that is preventing the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) from serving America’s 36 million small businesses,” an automatic response from a furloughed SBA employee received by Fox News Digtal reads.

“Every day that Senate Democrats continue (to) oppose a clean funding bill, they are stopping an estimated 320 small businesses from accessing $170 million in SBA-guaranteed funding,” the email continued.

The Small Business Administration is charged with providing U.S. entrepreneurs with business counseling and capital resources as part of its mission to strengthen the economy by protecting the growth of small businesses.

The government partially shut down early Wednesday morning after Senate lawmakers failed to reach a spending agreement in time for the end of fiscal year 2025. A short-term extension of fiscal year 2025 funding, aimed at keeping the government open through Nov. 21, passed the House earlier in September.

Republicans have since blamed Democrats for the shutdown, arguing they refused to fund the budget as an attempt to provide taxpayer-funded medical benefits for illegal immigrants through Democrat lawmakers’ continuing resolution. Democrats, however, have cast the Republicans’ claim as a “lie” from the Trump administration.

The automatic response email from an SBA staffer continued that employees will quickly resume their duties once the shutdown ends but that many services will remain unavailable until that time.

“As a result of the shutdown, we wanted to notify you that many of our services supporting small businesses are currently unavailable. The Agency is executing its Lapse Plan and as soon as the shutdown is over, we are prepared to immediately return to the record-breaking services we are providing under the leadership of the Trump Administration,” the email continued.

Fox News Digital obtained an internal email from SBA’s human resources arm sent to SBA employees Wednesday evening — when the shutdown was imminent — that provided staffers with the suggested automatic response email text. The message also included a step-by-step guide on how to set up automatic out-of-office email responses.

Staffers were only advised to use the suggested email language, not required, Fox News Digital learned.

Fox News Digital received a similar automatic email response from the White House’s press team Friday morning.

“Due to staff shortages resulting from the Democrat Shutdown, the typical 24/7 monitoring of this press inbox may experience delays. We ask for your patience as our staff work to field your requests in a timely manner. As you await a response, please remember this could have been avoided if the Democrats voted for the clean Continuing Resolution to keep the government open,” the White House press office’s automatic response email reads.

“Thank you for your attention to this matter,” it added, playing off Trump’s frequent use of the phrase in social media posts.

The SBA, led by former Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler, also displays a bright red “Special Announcement” message on its website, warning: “Senate Democrats voted to block a clean federal funding bill (H.R. 5371), leading to a government shutdown that is preventing the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) from serving America’s 36 million small businesses.”
