Not a shot was fired, the attacker complied once the licensed gun owner unholstered his weapon.

clearly reports that the gentleman is a CPL holder! 
I tried to do some follow up on this situation, as it is now 2 working days after the incident, and I have not seen whether the NY goon squad has charged our good guy yet. It will not matter which way this swings as:
The goon squad’s attempts to restrict licensed carriers have been shown to be contrary to real world situations
The restrictions will be shown to be unconstitutional
The goon squad loses public face by charging the gentleman despite saving further violence, and harm.
I am quite shocked that the gentleman was not arrested on the spot. Apparently the law enforcement community does not support the goon squad’s tactics?
As a former resident of that state, I am going to be watching how this unfolds.
