Funny, Interesting but TRUE Conversation

Setting:
I’m in the LGS looking at .22 pistols while a guy literally elbow to elbow to me says this:
$1,200.00!?!? You mean like this? It really isn’t good for much, can’t really use it for much and you want $1,200.00. Now, if it had a full mag and one in the pipe Then it would be worth every cent of that $1,200.00.

I thought it was pretty good point, a bit silly at the time but now that I think of it, the guy did have a point.

Or wanted that one and was trying to prevent you from buying it.

I SEE HIS POINT, I REALLY DO.
It’s just difficult for me to fathom spending $1200 on a .22
When I had some decent money (4) years ago I bought what
I wanted , when I wanted. When I went into my Gun shop I usually
came home with a Firearm/Ammo, or Accessory I went in looking
to purchase. Sadly (for me) those day’s are over for a while.
Working now things improved incredibly but those lean years,
the struggles, ‘He who will not be named ‘daily threats changed me.
If I had an ‘Extra’ $1200 I’d look hard @ a Walther Pro X or the Smith M&P
w/ a Compensator not a .22 (more power to you folk’s who recently
purchased very cool .22’s not dissing that) but if I want to ‘Plink’ I use my
tried n true M&P Rifle (it’s the only .22 I own now). I had to thin the herd
the last two years and the .22 revolvers I had went first.
I’m not trying to make light of anything but in my mid 60’s
No one to leave an arsenal to, wondering if it’ REALLY WILL GET BETTER?’
my ;frontline-go to weapons and Ammo’ is where the investment is now.
(always was actually) in Combat it was (1) M4 a Main Handgun and a back up
with the emphasis on AMMO! How much you trucked in saved your life.
I’m leaning that way once again.
I don’t know if I like the changes in my life these days but that sunovabeeotch
really did a number on my family and THIS ISN’T OVER YET so right now it’s AMMO.
The most punch at the best price point. (Unless of course I WIN a Sig or Walther from USCCA!)

Living in CA where I can’t just go to my porch and start plinking, I have now seen the futility of owning rimfire caliber firearms.

Well, except for the GSG 1911-22 for training purposes.

Dude, take a walk on the wild side!! .22 is a hoot, fun, easy, cheap…

No doubt, only if I have easy access to plinking sites.

I take for granted where I live I suppose.

Then throw a silencer on it and you are set!

Hmmm, interesting. Almost similar to what I say whenever I buy a new suit. I always tell the sales person that I always receive a free tie when I purchase a new suit and I always walk out of the store with a free tie.

Going to try that with ammo and see what happens. Wonder what the response will be when I say, I always get a free box of ammo when I buy a new firearm. I will obviously have to go to a new gun shop to give it a try, my current one would just say, you didn’t get a free box 2 weeks ago or a month before that, or at all last year.

I paid my house off in December. I’ve been running hog wild ever since… probably need to scale back the firearms binge I’ve been on. However the ammo is another thing all together. I’m supplying my new ammo cabinet to max capacity.
