I’m wanting to buy some 300BLK for range use and I’ve found 150 grain of these two brands for "about"the same price - 50 cents for Freedom and 66 cents for Fiocchi. The Fiocchi might be a little more expensive because of the name and I’m compairing Freedom FMJ to FMJ Boattail.
Any experience with either, or maybe another ecconomical recomendation?
Haven’t bought any .300bo from FM, but did spend a bit over $8k on their 9,45,5.56 and .308 when mama told me to stock up due to Hillary2016. Had good experiences with both their new and reloaded ammo. They ran into a problem for awhile iirc, got new ownership I believe and got straightened out quite awhile back. My .308 from them included some 168 a-max bullets which have yielded .5 moa 5 shot groups out of my RPR at 200 yards. I’ve also been very pleased with the 155 grain hp’s they use. Haven’t shot any of their 178 m118 stuff yet, saving that for a rainy day and longer range. I’ve got their 150 grain as well, but don’t believe I’ve shot any of it, as I had a large stockpile of nato surplus and still quite a bit of IMI left for my m1a scout.
I do like fiocci as well, though it’s been mainly 9 mm. My .300bo consists of Gorilla Munitions subs and supers.
At 16 cents a round difference,my Scots blood kicks in. FM all day
Agreed on all counts. Don’t yet own .300BO, but have purchased 9mm, .45, .223 and 5.56 from Freedom - all good, both new and Reman. I like Fiocchi as well, but haven’t shot as much as FM - mostly because of cost. I’ve shot Fiocchi mainly through Scheel’s with their TargetMax brand.
