That’s exactly right! I used to be worried about the exact same thing and then I realized that those people are just as careless on a bicycle or driving a vehicle as they are with handling weapons. It’s impossible to dummy proof the idiots.
I told my sons years ago, the toughest job of your life is going to be making sure you identify and stay away from people whose careless acts are capable of getting you killed. You don’t have to be doing anything wrong. It can happen to you just by being in proximity to them. Learn to identify them and avoid them like the plague.
I finished my talk to them with this, those same idiots will be passing you on a state highway at a combine speed of over 110 miles an hour. You will be separated from them by mere feet. It’s just something to keep in mind as you travel throughout the rest of your life.
