Do You Keep Shooting?

Military taught me to stop the threat. Living in AK, when dealing with animal charges, you shoot to stop the the threat. Why would an armed human that’s threatening you or someone else be any different.

You stop when the slide locks back and no more ammo (then go to plan B if needed) or the threat is on the ground.

Legally and financially your probably screwed as soon as you pull your weapon, might as well try and be the last man standing.

Also, dont shoot to wound. shoot to kill. If the bad guy lives, it is what it is, but eliminate the threat

So which is it shoot to kill or stop the threat. I am all about the sanctity of life. I shoot to stop the threat. I do believe in the death penalty because that is what one has to do to save lives.

Except non-human life. You have posted pictures to prove that.

If anyone knows how to shoot to stop a threat that will prove to be non lethal please share, because I have never seen such a method taught. If you watched the video, shots not to the head or torso had a very poor stop ratio. Don’t know about anyone else, but if you’re trying to kill me or cause great bodily injury and you’re at 10 yards or less I’ll not be going “Mo” or “Zam” but “bique” and repeat. Bad players on this level deserve nothing less.

If I don’t have to kill to make human life better I won’t

Never had to and hopefully won’t need to count how many rounds put into any civilian.
Pepper gel and collapsible baton were enough so far, even in Chicago area. :crossed_fingers:

Stopping the thread is not countable. One? Two? Three? Whole magazine? For me, I’m shooting as long as it can be reasonably explained. But 2 is my magic number.

Accurate shot placement is preferred. However shot placement in a civilian public environment under duress? You had damn well make sure YOUR shots land on the intended target. In the at home civilian environment the same applies…though the round count may indeed be higher.

My feeling in this Anti-Gunner Demoncrat ruled by Leftist Judges is stop the threat—YES! Plus Plus
(with as few rounds as possible----- Ergo, Accurate shot placement---- Train your Shot Placement

Keep shooting until the threat stops being a threat. 1 round? 2 rounds? 5 rounds? A full magazine plus the one in the pipe? A second magazine? A second higher caliber/gauge weapon?

I would guess most everyone here has hollow points in their EDC’s unless you live somewhere hollow points are considered inhumane. Bigger wound channel, more blood loss, less time for the threat to be a threat, but the threat WILL still be a threat for a short amount of time. Factor in adrenaline, drugs, psychosis and that time limit is extended.

Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch says it pretty good in his video talking about terminal ballistics: Pistols put holes in things. Rifles put holes through things. Shotguns will tear a chunk off and throw it on the ground. But it’s got to be the right load at the right distance.

Look Bruh, I agree (whatever it takes) to stop the threat.
I’ve been up against ‘Fanatic’s, Fools’ and the Addicted)
Each one had a different ‘Tolerance’ to Lead
The toughest were the Kids and Teens High on Khat (a Plant, leafy
drug with the Powers of Heroine. They ‘Absorbed’ the most lead
and some kept coming till it was a Headshot.
Turn off the brain-box and no one continues to advance. That is why a few years
ago I became a little Unpopular here ( Nasty PM’s) for being Blood Thirsty/Violent.
But tell me true—Last Person standing WINS! amirite? and how is that accomplished?

A HEADSHOT!—A headshot downs the threat, Stops the fight, Is REALLY FRIGGIN’ MESSY! and Bonus! Scares the crap out of any Crim’s/Gansta compatriots that are along for da fun!
Even a Hardened Skinny stops dead in his tracks when I de-capped his buddy next to him (and he went down next because he froze!) Purrrrrrfect!
Now that I cemented myself here as a Blood Thirsty-Violent person Prove me wrong that what I just said is BS…

My ‘Posts’ are the least of my (and all yer Gunners) worries!. LIVE YER LIVES TO THE FULLEST MY FRIENDS, NO FEAR! TRAIN like yer life depends on it (because it most certainly might).
If yer in a FIGHT MAKE DAMN SURE YOU ARE LAST MAN STANDING!!!

I never forgot my divemaster’s saying: “water is not your enemy, panic is.”

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. I guess that is panic.

I disagree. Fear is an emotional response. Panic is a visceral reaction

You have every right to disagree. As a matter of fact I prefer it . It gives us something to argue about and express our opinions and perspectives. Yes fear is an emotion, the fear of fear is more of a panic attack. Emotions and visceral reactions both originate from the same part of the brain.
