Do you have ammo but not the gun?

was it a case of the cart before the horse?

That I can understand. I once had a Savage 17HMR when there was shortage of 22LR

I’ve got a handful of 5.7x28 and no gun for them to go into.

I want a P90 (SBR because the 16” barrel looks goofy AF)

Have some 30/30 left over from shooting with a buddy who has one…. While a lever gun is on my short list of “need to buy” I haven’t really considered caliber as of yet.

I used to have a Henry 22LR. I want lever action in .357 to justify the purchase of a revolver :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Or in 44 magnum

I need to get a lever in 44 for deer. Got a crap load of 44 ammo and only a Rossi mares leg to shoot it out of.

Been looking for a pre Remlin lever in 44 mag, folks think they are made of gold.

My 357 marlin was made in the mid 80’s and like new. Its only in 357.

Go buy some .357 ammo first, then you’ll need the guns in order to not disrupt Don’s equilibrium.

That might handle these. 320 grains of pure thump. Don’t dare shoot them out of that cheap mares leg.

I’ve fished but never hunted before so satisfied with 357.

and we’re back to the subject of this thread  I think I’ll buy a 357 lever action before a revolver.

You shouldn’t go wrong with either direction. Rifle before pistol or vice versa

That’s smart. Once you have the rifle and ammo, it’s a no brainer that you MUST have a revolver. See Karacal’s post in Gun Tubers of Hickock 45 reviewing the new stainless Colt Python for inspiration.

If your wife thinks it’s too much, see marriage counselor Karacal for advice, and good deals on garage cots!

Just came from a LGS and saw some 357

S&W and Ruger have some decent options under $1k.

How many taxes are there in California on a $1,000 pistol?

11% tax on just the gun in Cauliflornea.

Easier to do the math if one just rounds up to 20%

$110.00
