Do you EDC body armor?

I think expiration applies to a certain type of ceramic, sweat probably doesn’t do much, it is degradation in the structure of the material that makes it less protective. Kevlar or steel plates never expire.

Kevlar type armor also expires. You can find info about this many places, Google happened to show this one up top and I know they were mentioned already in this thread

I’m not convinced it’s like a motorcycle helmet with padding that degrades with or without use. But, I’m not a chemist or physicist so what do I know?

I have body armor easily accessible when I travel and in my home. I don’t wear it as a edc but it is close by.

As we should.

Wouldn’t it be grand if we could be so good at that, we knew we would never need a gun

Well, so far I’m batting 1.000. I’ve never been in a situation where a gun would have been needed. I avoid certain parts of our fair city, certain gatherings, some areas at night. Never had a need to use my pocket carry.

Avoiding and evading should be our first priority so we never, ever have to use our weapon.
