Disturbing Legal Trend with Firearms Training

I have known a few politicians who were very smart. And I think there are some well-known politicians who are very clever, despite what we might think of their policies. But any successful politician needs to have a certain degree of arrogance, or they wouldn’t even run. It’s that arrogance that seems to really get people into trouble in courtrooms. I’m sure you’ve seen enough of that in your career to write a book.

I have always drawn a distinction between intelligence and merely being clever. Clever to me has always carried a connotation of a rather shallow sort of intelligence that lacks the introspection and thought process that intelligence entails. Of course, that is my thought on the subject. I am sure there are at least hundreds who would disagree. That’s okay. Reasonable minds can differ. Supposedly that is the reason why we have courts and judges. Unfortunately that has been obfuscated by politics. It is the rare attorney from the opposite party who is appointed to a judgeship.

The training you get is only as good as the trainer. There are hundreds of “trainers” looking to help themselves to your money. There are are very few TRAINERS who know what they teach and are good at teaching it. Always check your sources.

Yes, politics ruins everything that it touches. That’s why I’ve learned to avoid friends to become too political, no matter their leanings. It’s unfortunate that our judiciary is so intertwined with politics. I know it was not meant to be that way, but I’m not sure it was ever as independent as it was meant to be.
