Ironically, Gates wants to cut-down the forests and bury the trees because they produce CO2 - at night. So much for his altruism. No one denies that the climate changes, we have seen the cycles over hundreds, thousands, and millions of years. The most dramatic climate anomilies in recorded history were due to volcanic eruptions, effects, some of which lasted for years or more.
Man can affect microclimates, that happens when vast tracts of land are turned into monocultures due to farming. Ironically, this guy proposes recovering farmland as a means of fighting climate change, wherein farmland changes microclimates - negatively, if you reason that the natural environment is the way it should be.
Large cities also change the microclimates of their areas. Bill Gates wants to fight climate change by vastly reducing the number of people in the world. That would result in fewer cities. Not a solution I would propose.
So the only real solution to our impact on microclimates or potentially “climate change” would be for Mankind to be exterminated, eliminating our potential to harm the climate and the environment. That would leave all the other known causes to still affect the climate and the environment, but at least we would no longer do any harm. I don’t see that as a viable solution, either.
And after creation, create microclimates that destroy the natural landscapes and environments of the native plants and animals and increase the local temperature - same with wind farms.
I swear, I’ve driven down the back roads, through the corn fields on hot days and felt some pretty cold spots of air, maybe too much Jack Daniels, but I’m sure it happens.
Well, on that note, all your political posts and posts on “climate change” should also be taken down as, I presume, this site was not created for your comments on those topics.
