I recently received a USCCA questionnaire asking us about starting a local chapter/charter where we could attend regular ongoing group meetings with like-minded 2A supporters, but USCCA supported.
Such as for networking, learning, organizing, and fun.
I more recently received an invite to their first meeting, free, nearby my “neck of the woods”.
You all know if they are starting one up near you?
When I was surveyed, I mentioned if it was possible, to try to set up safeguards and even consider opening it up to our families.
Their invites includes:
Their personally hearing our ideas, answering our questions, and us helping shape what the Chapter becomes. As a chance to have an impact on OUR local Chapter, create together
• Complimentary Dinner
• Interactive Q&A with the USCCA Member Experience Team
• Special Guest Speaker
I’m interested in at least checking it out to see how it is, gonna try to take some time out of the date to try to make it on time. I got you all’s back there. I welcome you.
@Burdo I haven’t received anything from USCCA about it here in NM, but that would be nice, there’s a few of us around here in NM, but not sure of the number of members besides myself, Don, and a couple of others nearby, but not sure as far as Statewide for it to be worthy. Would like to give a BIG invite to NM Governor, Moms Demand Action, Students Demand Action, Everytown, DA’s office, Senators, to join in and show them what we’re all about so they can get a general idea why we’re against their Unconstitutional Gun bans, and show we are very responsible law-abiding gun owners and give them ideas on how to deal with criminals instead of intervening with our 2A rights!
Sounds good. Gives me the idea to check with USCCA about something here in Jacksonville,Fl. I am a NRA firearms instructor and would like to get certified with USCCA. Been a member for almost a year here with you guys and would be good to have a group/ meeting once a month to go over different topic and equipment. Thanks for the info.
What a fantastic idea!!! Whitetails Unlimited started here in Door County Wisconsin (I am not a member or affiliated in any way) but, they have multiple chapters in most states. The idea of having families invited and attending where gun rights, gun safety ,gun cleaning, proper standing positions, suggestions on home defense and ETC. Having certified instructors as members would be so awesome for anyone that attends meetings as there expertise and shooting skills are invaluable!!! For those of us that are inspired to see hunting continue forward with our youth, USCCA is a great tool to add to the toolbox! I would be very interested in seeing this becoming a reality! Also THANK YOU to USCCA for my winning a gun on March 4th. Charlie S.
I think you’d be surprised. As long as you don’t show up advocating for gun control, I can’t imagine you wouldn’t be. Personally, I’ve found the shooting community in general to be some of the nicest, most helpful people I’ve come across. The gunners I know are more than happy to help anyone interested in shooting, self defense, learning and growing.
There is a meeting scheduled here in North Texas on May 1st. I’ll be unable to attend due to a previous engagement, but I’ll participate in any following meetings.
Gregory258 I agree with Joseph488 on this site politics get discussed a lot with different opinions some can’t do it with out insults. But I believe a USCCA chapter would focus on the laws and shooting you should fit in with out a problem.
