It is easier for a coward to stab someone from the back than have to look them in the eyes.
But he looked at her while he was stabbing her.
Oh, I thought he stabbed her from behind.
He leaned over the seat and stabbed her on the left side of her neck. Most of his body was behind her but his head and arm was not.
You lost my interest.
I am so terribly sorry!
The absolute best way she could have survived was to be open carrying an AR-15 “style” weapon, strapped to her chest, hands on the grip, eyes like daggers and prepared mentally and physically to put the rabid dog down!
That’s how they are going to survive in Florida! AR-15 @ the ready and .45ACP in a drop leg holster, with a look of FAFO on your face!
I forgive you.
You may want to watch the uncensored video a few times. I’m encouraging my two warrior daughters to learn from Iryna’ experience!
They are polite, professional and have a plan…!
Don’t forget pointing up over her right shoulder. ![]()
Agree to the extent that she sat right in front of him with her back to him. He certainly took his time getting ready for the assault. The last time I took a train/subway/underground, was my trip to London with my wife and (at the time) teenage daughter, riding from the airport to Leicester Square. It was standing room only.
My wife and daughter stood near the doors in the middle of the car. I took a position at the back of the train, leaning against the end of the car. At each exit people getting on were finding the closest available spot to sit or stand as others got off. I kept my eyes on what was going on. There was a wide variety of people riding. One older woman got on several stops into the trip and began to meander through the crowd, stop by stop. She then stopped directly behind my wife.
I fixated my eyes on her and she noticed me watching her and immediately exited at the next stop. We obviously did not look like the normal riders. I was not much concerned about her pickpocketing my wife as she was wearing a long raincoat and her pocketbook was inside her closed coat.
My point being that close to the door is likely not the best place to be on a train, and putting your nose into your phone in public is not being situationally aware. I asked my wife and daughter later if they noticed her and/or her behavior. Neither did, nor, from what I observed, did any of the other passengers.
The new society has trained people to do this. It is unkind to look at people and make life saving decisions. She paid for that.
Knowing you Blood Brother your Daughters will benefit from Iryna’s sacrifice—–that @ least puts some GOOD out into this crummy incident instead of focusing on EVIL.
Job well done!
HOLD THE LINE!
Too little too late as usual. ![]()
North Carolina lawmakers passed a bill named “Iryna’s Law” in their effort to eliminate cashless bail in the wake of the fatal stabbing of a Ukrainian refugee in Charlotte last month.
Iryna Zarutska was allegedly killed by suspect Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr. on a light rail train on Aug. 22 in what investigators described as a random act of violence. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
“Iryna’s Law” calls to “eliminate the condition to release a defendant on a written promise to appear,” to “provide for a new procedure to have defendants with suspected mental health issues to be evaluated for involuntary commitment,” and to “modify the laws related to pretrial release to provide stricter guidelines for defendants charged with violent offenses and defendants with extensive criminal histories,” among other measures.
The bill was passed by an 82-30 vote in the North Carolina House and heads to the desk of North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein, a Democrat, WBTV reported.
The only way to stop criminal violence once it has started is with moral violence. Any violent criminal could have done this. Laws don’t stop violent criminals.
Never heard it described that way before. I like it.
Ultimately, the sentiment that violence is a necessary deterrent to criminal violence is most famously associated with Churchill, even if he did not utter the exact words of the popular quote.
“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”
I agree with most everything you said except this. True she didn’t have much if any situational awareness but even with total situational awareness she could have died just as easily. If she was checking out everyone in her proximity all the time, she would be looking somewhere else the largest part of that time. She had no way of looking at the BG and thinking he wants to kill me. She had seen plenty like him every time she was on that train. All he was doing was sitting behind her on the train, not acting up, just riding to his destination. And, then things changed. Yep, she was looking at her phone, but what if she were looking at the woman beside her, or the guys in front of her, or the guy behind her to her right? She was dead as soon as she sat in that seat because of the person behind her. He had no weapon showing, he didn’t even look like he was mad about anything. She had NO chance.
The other side of this is that the same thing could happen to any of us. It has happened lately to plenty, including Charlie Kirk, including the prisoners at the ICE facility. The only place that I can think of that it shouldn’t have happened was Butler, PA and it did. That is where situational awareness was needed by the people that know it better than anyone and they failed. Do I use it? Yes, but I don’t count on it to save me. I count on it to help me prepare to save my own life knowing that anyone can get the drop on me at any time.
