There is a saying to survive a bear attack. You don’t have to be able to run faster than the bear. You only have to run faster than the slowest person. To survive a physical attack all you have to be is not the most vulnerable.

At the point that you’re being attacked, it doesn’t matter if you’re the most vulnerable,…
Your attacker has chosen you to assault, not anyone else who might not fight back.
They’re not going to just decide to switch targets because you said “don’t”
Combat is already joined, kill or be killed.

So, does that mean I shouldn’t go out of my house or what? Every time I go to the grocery store, or shopping, or a festival, or just a walk around town there are people within a foot or two from me. None of these people have fur and long claws yet anyone of them could kill me in an instant without me seeing their face.
Since you are so situationally aware, what do you do when you are in the checkout line at the grocery store? Is there not a possible BEAR in front of you and behind you?

Good question. When I am in the checkout line, I am situationally aware of everybody around me. I look them in the eye and try to show them G-d‘s love for them. I do not ignore people.

I find myself watching my Sisters back (in the Grocery line) Walmart (Self check out), Back to the wall of Chips N Snickers) watching shoppers come and go. Not being too obvious but with my usual (semi-Concealed) Carry Shirt lifted a bit to show the Barrel.. Cart between us and the World! It works pretty well for us.

Family members of victims of violent crime are expected to speak at Monday’s hearing, including a grandmother who is planning to discuss the need for greater accountability. Members of the House Judiciary Committee will also hear testimony from local police officers and community leaders.
