That’s the nature of the beast. Literature research is only 1/2 of the game. Have looked at many handguns that are touted as best thing since yellow colored butter and then I held them and/or shot them and they were just alright. Then the ones I own are because they fit me well and are comfortable. First EDC was a Ruger LC9. Liked everything about it except the trigger pull was heavy and long. They came out with the Ruger LC9-S which is striker fired due customers comment which has a lighter trigger and pull dramatically reduced. Bought that with only complaint being only 7 round mag. Enter Hellcat, comfortable, 12 round capacity, and roughly same size as my Ruger. Now if they can only make that with 1/2’the weight lol.
I have big hands, but I found the Ruger ec9s (compact for sure) fit really well.
I bought & loved the Hellcat but traded it for basically Any other
Compact I could find that was comparable.
The Reason: My trigger finger is Bent from being Broken a long time back & the Trigger Safety pushes slightly sideways Easily and the weapon won’t fire unless the Safety is pulled Straight Back. Other than that I really liked the gun & it’s easy change magazines. It’s a bit heavy but entirely acceptable.
