Good idea to I change things up. I do it all the time. When I do go to a restaurant, I always find a place where I can see everything and I sit so that I can draw my pistol easily. I always look around the corner when opening my door to go outside. Some folks say I’m paranoid but I’m just careful and vigilant 24/7 everywhere I go. I’m never out of arms reach of a weapon. I carry my everyday carry pistol and 2 back ups and extra mags and ammo for my back up revolvers. It doesn’t pay to ever let your guard down these days.

I’m a retired Sr NCO. What you are discussing is basic anti-terrorism tactics. My 1st overseas assignment was to Germany in the early 80’s. Varying your routes and situational awareness was drilled into us, on a frequent basis. To this day I still change routes. when the spouse asks why my answer if “just because”…
