Hi @Blacky, I looked up the TENS treatment, How To Use a TENS Machine for Carpal Tunnel - Royal Treatment Therapeutics, and have a question about electrode placement:
“Place one electrode on the center of the back of your hand. Place the other electrode pad on the forearm just below the wrist.”
Does “below the wrist” mean on the palm side of the wrist or the back of the hand side of the wrist?

I haven’t used the TENS for hand pain but have successfully used one for back pain in the past. I just needed to play with the settings to find the strength and pattern that was most helpful for me.
Where ever the pain is. It will cause Muscle contractions to strengthen the area around affected Area. The unit shown is basic and easy to use. It runs on 4 AAA batteries ; i’ve been using it for more than two weeks and the batteries are still good. If you get one ; let me know , I can give you more things I learned that are helpful
The unit has reduced pain and, just so happens I use it on my shooting hand…

No wonder I sold off a couple. One’s rack was very hard to slide and the other was a revolver which caused me pain with each trigger pull. I then gravitated to a slide which is easier and a revolver with a less heavy pull; I think from years of sports, and from using a computer, typing at work.
Well, I have band-aided this problem as long as I could. Carpal tunnel revision surgery is scheduled for 20 May. Revision carpal tunnel surgery, also known as a second carpal tunnel release, is performed when the initial surgery doesn’t resolve the symptoms or they return. Predicted recovery time is about 3 months. Success rate is 20%, so the outlook isn’t great. The surgeon is going to throw in an extra A1 pulley release on the ring finger at the same time leaving me with a new crooked scar running from above the wrist to almost the base of the ring finger. Ideas for good stories are appreciated.
My pocket holster for the P938 is ambidextrous, so rearranging my pockets for left hand carry is my plan for the recovery time period. I think the harder part about this is going to be training myself to carry my phone in the back pocket as I will not be able to get it in and out of the right front pocket very easily. The phone training will be remembering not to sit on it and break it. I am currently shopping for a left hand holster for IWB as a backup plan. The easy thing to do would be to buy the left hand version of what I already use right handed, but I’m being cheap and don’t want to spend much money for a temporary. I have considered using the larger and heavier EMP4 for IWB, but I think it will be too much of a struggle to get dressed with it one handed … it is also going to be summer in Florida.
Please wish me good luck with this endeavor. I am certain my right hand will be working as good as ever after recovery. I am looking forward to shooting my 2 newest that I have not felt comfortable with, the 357 6” revolver because of weight and recoil left handed only, and cocking my new break barrel pellet rifle one handed has proven to be a much greater challenge than I expected.

I had the initial release on both of mine more than 20 years ago. They were done 2 weeks apart which indicates I was able to dress myself with the first hand operated on that quickly. Here’s hoping you heal quickly
My new incision will look something like this, except mine will be extended in an additional V pattern to almost the base of the ring finger.
Good luck with your surgery. Had mine done years ago. I still do stretching exercises for it.
