That looks like one of the more extreme responses from retailers. And I get it. The wording of some of this nonsense is insane. Sometimes I think they make things ambiguous so they can apply it to pretty much everything. But then you hear the politicians speak, and you realize it’s ambiguous because they’re just babbling idiots who don’t know anything about the items they’re regulating.

In a nutshell, all that’s required for most parts is proof that the person ordering it is over 18 and lives at the delivery address. A pain in the ass, but does not require an FFL. I’ve been buying from most of these guys for more than 18 yrs so that should be proof enough. Although, I know a couple out of state businesses who don’t give
about stupid CA laws and will simply continue to ship whatever they want, whenever they want to CA residents. Their view is that CA laws only apply to CA residents, not them.
