That’s right. Bullseye.
Does anyone here shoot Bullseye?
Or do you find it irrelevant?
Just curious.

Yes, I do shoot bullseye.
It’s a great part of training for defensive shooting.
If I can master accurate shooting from long distance one handed, I don’t see any problem accurately shoot center mass two handed from 3 - 5 yards.
Shooting small bore and high power was all “bullseye”, drop an X and you could lose. This carries over to hunting, anything less than a bullseye shot can result in an inhumane hit. Carry this over to your EDC practice, you’re hopefully aiming at a particular spot, and anywhere close is an acceptable hit. I look at it this way, if and when I have to take a life saving shot, you can bet I’m aiming with the same sense of making the shot as any competitive bullseye shooter. There’s two reasons for this, stop the threat with the fewest number of shots; and make sure you’ll not miss for the sake of others. Remember also that any shot that does not stop a threat gives the threat an advantage.
Gotta hit your mark “Spot on” and no mistake.
A part of every trip to the range.
Not competitively. I shoot 150 and 200 yards before hunting season. 30-06 150-180 grain bullets depending what I am hunting. ( pronghorn, deer or elk)
My main focus is on squeezing the trigger not pulling it and having my scope zeroed.
SQUEEZE!!! Like squeezing a lemon SQUEEZE the trigger! When SKEET SHOOTING you yell “PULL!!” Off goes the clay and you SHOOT!! You get ready for the next one, and you YELL “PULL!!” and off goes the clay, and once again you SHOOT!! So what’s happening? You yell “PULL”, and You “PULL the TRIGGER”, firearm goes Bang, hitting the clay target! (Alec Baldwin) “NO, NO, NO, I never PULLED THE TRIGGER” NOT ONCE DID HE EVER SAY, “NO,NO,NO, I never SQUEEZED THE TRIGGER” BUT, to each their own. You do you! Squeeze, pull, it’s all the same, as long as you’re on target, that’s what counts.
The best way for me to explain it when I squeeze the trigger. I put more and more pressure on it straight back until it goes boom when I pull the trick trigger, I expect the trigger to go back, but when I do that, I actually pull the rifle to the side, which makes me miss my target
You should never squeeze or pull the trigger… trigger must be pressed to achieve the accuracy.
Who said anything about accuracy?
