I recently discovered that CRUCIBLE has gone bankrupt, and has sold out to ERASTEEL in Paris, France. Their CPM-Magnacut will now be made there, unless a USA company buys into the patent. One steel they developed was 154-CM, which was adopted and popularized by the legendary Robert Loveless. It was also used in his collaboration with Barry Wood - Loveless’s protege and son-in-law was Steve Johnson, who made the blades for this swing-lock version. Only 32 of these were made - I saw one on the Arizona Custom Knives website for over $15K! 140 or more employees lost their jobs.
