Books - what are you reading right now?

Two books:

North! Or Be Eaten by Andrew Peterson (I wanted to check this out before turning my 10 year old loose on it);

Ushering 101 by Buddy Bell. I am head usher at church, and looking at this to pitch around to new ushers to read.

I hope you (and your 10-year-old) have already read “On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness” first!

I highly, strongly, emphatically, enthusiastically (I’m running out of adverbs) recommend the entire Wingfeather series – not only for your 10-yo, but also for you! They are awesome books, and there’s really nothing in them a 10 yo can’t handle (although major kudos to you for previewing—you know your child’s temperament best!). By the way, I also advise you to skip the Wingfeather tv-series on Angel – despite Andrew Peterson’s involvement, they RUINED the story and the characters (e.g., they made Leeli a strong, empowered girl-power character from the beginning, rather than let her grow into that like she does in the books). Just stick to the books!

The Art of Racing in the Rain

I’m getting ready to start the next book in the Nir Tavor Mossad series (the author loves to mention IWI weapons!). I’ve already finished 1-4 (Operation Joktan, By Way of Deception, Out of the Far North, and The Sick Man’s Rage), and they just released book 5: “The Next War” a few weeks ago. The end of book 4 was such a shocking cliff-hanger…
Book 4 starts with the October 7 horror (very accurately), and returns to the main story. It’s interesting how closely the events of this last year are reflecting the things that Amir Tsarfati has written about in these books.

I’m going to check this series out. Thanks!

Someone say Tavor? :grin::grin::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::clinking_beer_mugs:

Yep, the post had me at Tavor :grin:

The Presidents Vampire ( Nathanial Cane series) by Christopher Farnsworth.(book 2)

Book 1 was ‘Blood Oath’ (I blew through that in 3 hours!) Evelyn Woods got nuthin’ on me ! ARGH!):books:

ALONE AND UNAFRAID - Patriot Defense and Survival Guide by. Jason Hanson

I have this on my counter in the kitchen. I like the guy who wrote it, he is good. :woozy_face:

Cookbooks are cool!
