Actually, if whoever an independent contractor works for has the ability to set a schedule for them, operate under supervision, and the ability to hire or fire based on specific performance. You are not an independent contractor. You are an employee.
That is settled law. Specifically, look up UPS and Fed Ex.

That’s only for an impeachment conviction. If the House investigations turn up real evidence of wrongdoing that is sufficient for a criminal charge, that has nothing to do with the Senate.
Pardoning one’s own son when there is real evidence or a strong conviction would be hard for even the Democrat MSM to cover up.

As long as it is a Federal conviction, POTUS can pardon. As far as “MSM covering it up”. All they have to do to cover it up. Is to keep saying it was a Republican “partisan” effort to embarrass the sitting POTUS.
How many times did you hear “Democracy is on the ballot”? But since there was no “Red Wave”. All of the sudden 'this was a fair and transparent election". I think you may have a distorted view on how willingly, the public is to be mislead.
Just look at Hillary Clinton. Her campaign team made up an entire conspiracy to smear Donald Trump. What has happened to her. The House even pushed articles of Impeachment through. If the Senate had not been a Republican majority, Trump would have been impeached, based on a completely false premise.

45 is Imleached, twice. The relublican party has chose not to penalize it because the Democrats chose not to penalize Bill Clinton for his impeached lies about where he got sucked. So it turned into a tit for tat. Except the second choice to not penalize 45 became strickly political for the purpose of politics only.

Actually, the reverse is true, the Democrats impeaching Trump was purely political. They found nothing on him, yet impeached him anyway. Same thing the second time, too.
Take a look at the Summer of Love 2020. The Democratic politicians not only did nothing to stop the rioting, arson and destruction occurring all over the USA, but aided and abetted it by forcing the police to stand down, even while innocent men, women and children became victims of these violent mobs, aka “mostly peaceful protestors”.
Compare that to the Virginia Lobby Day rally January 2020 at the Richmond Capitol. News reports stated over 20,000 people attended, all armed - and it was d-mn cold that day, below freezing, unusually cold for Richmond. No violence, no destruction of property, no arson, no police in riot gear, etc.,etc. The news even reported that the city was left cleaner than before the rally due to rally members cleaning the area after it ended.
Meanwhile, the D governor tried to scare people away by claiming there was going to be violence at that event, even though, for the over 20 years of that annual rally, there had never been any violence. The Ds even went so far as to ban firearms at the Capitol. Firearms were always allowed there without ever a violent act occurring.
The Ds and media were also claiming that it was going to be a White Supremacist event. There was a meme after the rally that made its way around the internet about it being the worst White Supremacist rally ever, with a picture of a man who was lugging around a Barrett rifle carried on his shoulder with a group of black men. There were even LGBTQ people there, as well as people of all races, etc. The 2A is non-discriminatory.
I doubt these D politicians will ever see any type of prosecution, civil or criminal, due to their actions.

Just out of curiosity, have you heard about the Twitter files? If you haven’t, it’s proof, actionable proof, that Federal Agencies were actively engaged in the suppression of 1st Amendment protected free speech, and suppressing Conservative points of view, something that is forbidden by Federal law as well.
This administration is involved in this suppression. Literally involved. Yet it’s /cricket’s from MSM. The only ones reporting it are Conservative outlets or Conservative commentators.
This is a criminal conspiracy, that is bigger than Watergate. My wife, who is a pro 2A Democrat, hadn’t seen or heard anything about it. Until I brought it to her attention.
So this shows that the MSM, can and will, participate in a cover up of a crime that is epic in scope. Simply, by refusing to report on it.

Unfortunately, while she may be a pro 2A Democrat, the Democrat party at the state (all states) and the national level is extremely anti 2A. Any Democrat vote in any level of election provides support for the anti-gunners that run the Democrat show across the nation. Until the Democrat leaders realize that the 2A should not be a political issue, there really is no such thing as a pro 2A Democrat anymore. I have friends who have made that realization over the past decade and now vote differently because that is their watermark issue.

I would respectively disagree. While they matter less than in the past, they do still matter. It is possible to overcome most cheating by having a large volume of legitimate votes. It’s a numbers game that can be won, but not with the low turnout that we have seen in the last few elections.
