Specifically for glock19 and Springfield Hellcat…not wanting to appendix carry. I’ve tried alien gear for others, but have no experience with other holsters. Thank you for your time.
Check out proteqcustomgear.com. After first trying the Alien Gear Shapeshifter kit, I switched, and really like my IWB from ProTEQ. It literally feels better each and every day I wear it.
I am not lean by any means. At 6’2, I go 260. However, I can not recommend ClingerHolsters enough…and I believe it may now be possible to order those on Amazon, so if ya have Prime…
For me, I wear two guns, one at 5 o’clock, one at 8 o’clock, both with Clingers. The grips are pulled in to my body in such a way that they do not print. If I bend over at the waist to touch my toes, then ok my shirt may ride up over and expose them, but who does that? Not I…
Have tried AlienGear, Mitch Rosen, Galco, etc. et al, and in that journey have simply settled on AlienGear. However, if you do buy one from them, have some blue LocTite ready to put onto screw threads or the screws WILL back out during EDC wear and you’ll wish you had. Once LocTite is applied, well, they last as long or longer than anything else on the market that I’ve tried…
Best of Luck, hope you find the ONE for you :)!
Peace & Blessings!

Tucker Gun Leather Deep Carry DC-1 IWB Configured
It’s not a cheap one, but the best IWB ever used by me.
I have been happy with this one worn @ 4:00:

I am 5’8", 160 lbs.
Edit: it holds the gun tight to the body and the forward cant reduces the vertical component that is under the belt that in turn reduces how much it pokes out above the waist line.
I’ll add my two cents… After trying a Kydex style IWB holster first, I have fallen in love with the Smooth Concealment IWB leather holster from 1791 Gunleather. I am 5’9” and 175lbs. It took a little break-in but was very much worth it. Leather has better comfort than the Kydex for me at the 3:30-4pm carry position. Be sure to check out the video on the Ultra Custom holster… It’s an incredible holster and may end up working as a one holster solution for both of your firearms.

I have been running a few IWB holsters like Alien Gear shape shift, C&G, Concealment Express and a few no name holsters I ordered on EBay and Amazon. I like IWB because it conceals the gun better.
My EDC is a G43X with a 15 round mag. I previously used a Safariland 575 Kydex holster. That said, I found the thickness problematic and firearm top heavy. It often dug into my hip or growing.
I switch to an Amberide IWB Kuder. It’s slim and snug!
Don’t forget USCCA members enjoy a 20% discount at Galco.
I would consider myself on the lean side. I’ve tried my share of kydex holsters from different manufactures. Although I really liked the AlienGear ShapeShift backing in the Florida heat, I found the IWB version too big and bulky. I ended up purchasing the Appendix Carry kit, moved my shell to it and have been using it IWB at 3:30 for over a year now.
I like Crossbreeds, e.g. for G19:
If your Hellcat has an optic take a look at the Hidden Hybrid. The “dog house” for the optic helps protect the lens.
I ordered a holster from Tucker… 9 months ago.
Dammit! I bought a Miami Special not too long ago. That would have saved me $30
@Marrio how does the cant work on this holster? it says from 0 - 30* of cant. Have you found this to be true and stable? For $22 it may be my first Kydex holster and holster without a thumb snap.
For the OP, I’m 6’-2" and 185 with an inch I can pinch in the front and I have been using Bianchi #3S almost exclusively for 30+ years but I mainly carry 1911’s but I have them for the Beretta M-9/92F or the CZ-75 / EAA Witness (same holster). I can carry either of the double stack mags with a light cover shirt with no flagging issues as well as a full size 1911. The key for us aerodynamic folks is all in the ability to cant the holster (forward) so that the grip tucks up under your rib cage.
Cheers,
Craig6
@Craig6 I was skeptical when I initially made the purchase and prior to its arrival. I’ve only had it for about a month. It is my EDH. The cant is adjusted to about 20% with no shifting or loosening of hardware. Easy on and easy off. Carried during a recent 14 hour road trip with zero discomfort.
You got it? Or still waiting?
Waiting. And TBH, it was 5 months ago but I’m frustrated and I exaggerated
Call them. These are nice people willing to help in every situation.
9 month means they missed the order… Mine were delivered after 6 weeks.
