Best Gun Safe for Home Use

Always good to go local if you have a good option nearby. Have fun filling your new Safe up:)

Go 2-3 times larger than you think i wish I had. You’ll get more of “this” stuff, but also it is great for important papers and other important items (coins, grandparents tablecloths, etc.)

Before there were so many gun safes on the market, I was travelling abroad quite a bit and eventually realized it would be prudent to invest in a safe. There were dealers in Los Angeles–200 miles away but none locally so I went to a local ranger station and asked them what they used to store firearms. It turned out that a local welding shop custom built them to USFS specs and thinking back 30 years it wasn’t all that expensive, so I ordered one and it’s given me excellent service to this very day. Unfortunately there is no ‘brand’ or model number, but you get the idea.
Maybe ask as your local PD precinct or SO substation and find out what they use.
If you explain what you’re looking for and why they might help you out.
Or maybe rangers are lonely and just wanted someone to talk to.
