So, March 3rd the ATF decided us Michiganders can no longer us our CPLs as a NICS exemption. The reasoning has something to do with too many people with DV convictions being issued CPLs as well as Michigan legalzing recreational pot.
Not confirmed but believed to be related, many citizens of Michigan are having their NICS checks come back as held or denied outright.
Does anyone have any experience with getting a UPIN? I’m hearing this is a way to prevent these “random” denials and holds from happening.
