At home Training System Questions

Seems very close to identical to me.

If you want to go the extra yard, you can purchase a Trigger Pull Tool which can measure the pounds & ounces of pull to the break point. Then if you have the Sirt which the Trigger can be adjusted, use the tool to set the Sirt Trigger.
I’ve done it and got the Sirts within a few 10ths of an ounce of my EDC’S.
Like anything else, even your EDC, after awhile the trigger pull weight will change and you’ll have to check measurement again.

Maybe this would be a good starting point for me? Maybe someone mentioned it on my original thread and I forgot, but…

I think it could be a great starting point for you.

I’m not sure how familiar you are with SIRT pistols, but they make them to look and feel like striker fired pistols. For example, they make one that is comparable to a Glock 17. So it fits in holsters for Glock. It has two lasers. The first laser comes on when you bring the trigger to the pressure wall. The second laser comes on when the trigger “breaks.” This allows you to easily see if you are using good trigger press. You can flip a switch and turn off the first laser.

The slide does not cycle. But unlike a real pistol, each trigger press is identical where you would normally have to cycle the slide to reset the trigger.

They do have a magazine release and mine came with two magazines. So you can practice most of the magazine change process

They are red in color so you don’t mistake them for a real gun.

They are not cheap. You can buy an inexpensive pistol (a Taurus for example) for the price of a SIRT.

They are a great training tool.

Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help further. Blessings on your journey!

I’m not familiar with them at all until reading this thread, but it seems like a great way to get used to firing a gun and aiming correctly without the fear of death, lol. Thanks for the response, @Sinbad , I appreciate it!

I just want to thank you all for chiming in and providing me with more insights. While I’m still pondering my next step in acquiring a training system, or systems, I’ve learned a lot from your inputs. Thanks for sharing!!
