A fruit is am item that comes from a blossom, As in, Apples, Oranges, etc. A vegetable does not. Vegetables are classified into Root vegetables, Bulb vegetables, Tuber vegetables, Leaf vegetables, Stalk vegetables, Inflorescent vegetables, and Fruit vegetables. An egg is a vessel for an embryo.
