the owner of the Car used in the crime, some had 'rap sheets already
(known to Police—don’t cha love that) How does a (16) year old own a car?

‘CYFD’ Children Youth and Family Services is OVERWHELMED with TEEN CRIM’S!
(and they are under indictment (again) for misuse of funds)
In my day that was called THEFT/STEALING buying trips to Aruba!, Fact finding tours
to Cabo! 
And finally the ‘Parents’ were notified of the incident (which should be ‘Attempted Murder’ Shot the woman (3) times in the abdomen! The parents 'had no idea they were up to this? (It was mentioned in another story local papers that a ‘string’ of (30) robberies of Inconvience stores happened recently in this area… Hmmmmmm
'Could it be?.. Nah!
But but but they were all little angels that couldn’t hurt a fly.

However, that article reads as those children opened fire first and wounded the passenger before the defender returned fire.

I know this is going to sound like a word salad but here you go. If someone is going to shoot you and you are not a murderer or trying to cause then great bodily harm that is murder. If you shoot them and stop them, you stopped them from being a murderer. You just saved their life, the penalty for murder is death. If they die, maybe they will still have the chance to make it to heaven because you killed them before they murdered. Take it for what it’s worth.
All I’m talking about My Good Sir is the TOLL that
comes from DEFENDING yourself is high. Doing a righteous act is commendable
Saving a Life (especially your own and Innocents is commendable.
But (just for me speaking) The cost on my soul is extremely high.
As said before NOBODY WANTS to take a life, even in WAR.
Necessary YES! but the cost is more than some can bear sometimes.
I’ve NEVER hesitated (and I won’t start now)
Maybe not, but these days hesitation will get you killed.
They can disassemble, strip, clean, reassemble, lock and load blindfolded, in less than 13.8 seconds! Kids do not have a problem shooting cops, kids, family or strangers! They are ruthless and invincible.
Our kids are still playing with Play-Doh or face down in a phone, if they’re not doing that, consider them armed and dangerous!
These are not your grandfathers teenagers!
All I am saying is nobody wants to take an innocent person‘s life. By taking a murderers life or would be murderer, one is saving a life…

maybe I’m a weenie, But the Kids I killed were trying to kill me
so I was motivated because I love being alive. But seeing the lights go out in there eyes was heart wrenching. My heart hasn’t hardened but the nightmares from some deaths
stuck with me. They visit me sometimes (if I haven’t had enough rest or had a rough day.
It doesn’t matter to me that I killed a Killer (potential killer)
It still sucks
And it better!
None of my Brothers said ‘Woo Hoo! that was cool’
The looks on our faces said (to me) Thank God we are still alive.
But we know zipping up a body bag of a friend sucks even worse!
So you do what you have to to survive. Morn our dead and wait for the night sweats.

I have compassion and empathy for your pain. I know what it feels like to take a life but not a human life. All the more reason I love you and don’t want to see you in pain. You save lives, if that hurts I am sorry.
If it has to happen, atleast glad he in a free state! Would hate to see him robbed, and wife shot, and then arrested for murder.

Brother, The ONLY REASON this dude was ‘Cleared’ was the
‘OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE’ of a laundry list of priors,
they ALL had STOLEN firearms! and CYFD Screwed up (again!)
and didn’t keep ‘tabs’ on these "Juveniles’.
These IDIOTS in this State still coddle the Little Thugs perhaps

As I said above, it’s now PROVEN these little Angels WERE INVOLVED in

Off topic here, but I think this happened in Tn. years ago. There was a lady who was kidnapped by traffickers, and when the victim untied themself, grabbed the kidnappers firearm, and used it, making an escape. The sad part is that the victim was arrested, and charged with murder I think? I think the victim had to go to jail or prison. In my opinion, they should’ve put a blanket around her, took her to the hospital, and thanked her for showing courage enough to attempt to escape. As for the kidnappers driving her in a van tied up, they were committing a crime, but were treated as victims. I think this was around 2018 or somewhere around then? I forgot specific details, but not that so many are aware that cartels were actually here trafficking people, maybe they realize they made a mistake by charging her. Governor Lee has been a 2A supporter here despite Hollywood moving here to make this Cali. I mean what would you do if kidnapped, tied up, blindfolded, raped, but managed to untie yourself, take the blindfold off they see your in a van being driven by cartels, and they laid a firearm in your reach? Submit, or defend?

(not 10 years ago). These weren’t ‘Traffickers’ they were Teens Thugs.

@Don102 Be sure to let me know when the balloon release memorial is to be help so we can go and hear about what a great kid, just made everyone smile, his family loved them. You know. The news stations could save a bundle if they just did one master tape of this and replay rather than go out every time. It’s always the same.
@Don102 My experience was not the same. Sorry this is so long. Your post just brings so much back. But, once upon a time I drove a charter coach bus. Had a full load of young people and was heading up the highway. Came to a crossroad. At that crossroad came a car who blew the stop sign. I did not have a stop sign so I was going 55. In that car were teenagers, two couples. One front and one rear. I slammed the brakes but with air brakes and the weight I hit them broadside. The girl in the backseat saw me and looked at me moments before the crash. She was thrown out of the car and about 40 feet down the road. I got the bus stooped about 145 feet later. Sent two people to a farm to get help and ran down to the car with the bus emergency kit (they truly are useless unless you only want gauze). Took off my sport jacket and covered up the girl. She died with her head in my lap. The driver had been drinking. (FYI, I never had another drink after that day). The boy in the backseat was disabled, the girl in the front seat was killed. The driver was banged up but walked away.
When the sheriff deputies arrived one took one look at me, helped me up and put me in his car to get warm and just be away from it all. I still pray for that LEO. He will never know what that meant to me.
The car measured 18" across at the trunk and was half laying on its side in the ditch. That haunts me to this day nearly 50 years after. I want nothing to do with shooting anyone that isn’t an obvious threat of harm. Even then I will have another memory I will never shake. Sorry.
