Yes, I am, and have been for about 3.5 years. Iāve not been under this financial stress in my entire life.
It must be something wrong with me, though. Iām told everything is wonderful. Salaries are up (except mine- no raise is 5 years), inflation is down (except for the food and gas I buy), and weāre all doing great (except for the missing IRA I had to spend to survive the last 3.5 years of economic hell and now I canāt retire until Iām close to 70).
Seriously, Iām in a business that sells large capital equipment. Stratospheric interest rates affect more than just the housing market like the news would have you think. People canāt finance new industrial machinery, and itās been very hard on our business. It strangles the whole economy, all so we can print more money for wars and student debt forgiveness (by the way, no one forgave mine, I phuckin paid them off, like I do all my debt) and visa cards for illegals.
If I wanted to move to a lower cost area, thatās difficult because Iād have to trade my 2.7% mortgage (that I got under Trump) for a 6.8% one, and not see any savings, just a worse house and more money going to the bank each month instead of my own equity.

I knew on day 1 of Bidenās administration that it was going to be, not only bad but really bad. Not enough notice was paid to his day one Executive orders. When he shut down the pipeline. I know we here on the forums know this but not nearly enough attention was paid to it by the rest of the Country.
Transportation costs are baked into every single tangible thing we buy. Everything that is a tangible and/or fungible good that we use, has to be transported by a train, or ship and at some point, has to be transported by a gas and/or diesel vehicle. When fuel prices elevated due to Bidenās Executive Order, that price got immediately transferred to the end users. It was inevitable.
But now that these providers know we will pay these. I can assure you that prices will not come down even if Trump is elected and tells every energy company to ādrill baby drillā.

The story is always the same ā governments print/borrow money to finance something believing that they can/will control the spending. They never do and the result is inflation that destroys savings and wealth.
