AR15 Bolt Carrier Group - ANGLED Gas Discharge

Saw a video where a group redesigned their BCG with angled gas discharge ports so the off-gas was directed forward towards the muzzle instead of at 90* to the ejection port.

Looking at the above image, you can see the ports are through side-to-side. Shooting left handed a standard rifle, this expels the gases across my face. :frowning:

Has anyone heard of this redesigned BCG?

Thanks!

Tim

It was called the Bolt Carrier Group when I was active.

If the military could abbreviate an abbreviation they would.

Thinking this?
I just hold my breath, wait for a tailwind, or watch the mosquitos do a downward spiral
Shooting suppressed amazes me how much crap runs down the mags.
There’s also a sealant you can use on your charging handle.

Thanks @mattm!

Not the one I saw initially, but this does shows there are folks out there considering the vent direction. I have bookmarked the sales portal. I’m not yet shooting suppressed, mainly because I haven’t the $200 for the permission slip, let alone the $600-$1,000 for the can itself. Once cans come off the NFA, I’ll likely start with an oil or fuel filter to begin with…

Anywho, I’m sure with this KAK K-Spec the fouling would be far less without a can…

Not super big into the whole customization yet, especially without a big budget for defense but I need to do something to reduce the gas! Maybe I just need to try beano…
