Another assault weapons ban

Prior to the invention of gunpowder, artillery (besides bows and arrows) were men with slings throwing rocks at the enemy. Usually from up higher on the hill over their own infantry.

True. While I’m by no means extremely knowledgeable about the Bible, there is the tale of a little guy name of David who used a sling to take down an oversized galoot name of Goliath. I’m thinking that acquiring/ fabricating slings/ slingshots and practicing with them would be desirable ability to have.

Thanks. Interesting stuff. When I was young, my slingshots were forked sticks and rubber bands. I’m much bigger now than I was then…

Lots of ancient records about slings (slingshots) being used in battle. Even if the rock didn’t immediately kill the target, it would certainly stun them enough for the soldier to move in and finish the job.
