America 250 celebrations

Anyone going to any of them? Thought this was cool.

I’m not really keeping track of events, only focused on our local Independence Day celebrations.

I once went to Hoover Dam only to make a u-turn upon learning you can’t have any firearms even in the parking lot.

I still want to visit someday. If stars align, I might visit on the 4th.

Good idea. Just in case they are manning the sniper hides at Hoover again

My wife and I about 19 years ago camped out in Williams Arizona and drove to Hover Dam. About a quarter mile before reaching the dam every vehicle was being searched and mirrors run underneath. We were on our Harleys so there wasn’t much to search.

As per usual I HAVE to chime in here.

The 250th Concert IS A BIG DEAL! No matter how you slice it. It is the Warm up band Event for the HUGE 4th Celebration! When they announced who would be performing my first reaction was REALLY? SERIOUSLY? WHY those choices? It’s said in the article the last hit McBride had if you were born that year you would soon be eligible to drink now
‘DISGRACED MILLIE VANILLI’ Seriously? Known for ‘Lip Singin’ on their concerts?’ Oh man I can’t wait to pony up the bucks to see that! WTF?
Adjusting my now infamous hat I HAVE to think this was a set-up (Psy-Op) by Trump and Co. ina Donald Trump imitation voice ) I can see them sitting around the Oval Office compiling a list of ‘Has Been performers’ who they KNOW are Leftists to the core and would pull out to give them their 15 seconds of fame again (they are use to that I guess), There was a great point made that even ‘DEVO’ or ‘Pet Shop Boys’ who haven’t had a hit in 20-30 years have a bigger cult following than these poor creatures.

IT’S ALL OPTICS ONCE AGAIN. Get a bunch of folk’s to perform and most of America go WHO? Then they pull out and Trump puts in the ‘A’ Team and we all ROCK THE HOUSE that day! THAT makes sense to me. I betcha you can get (and pardon me I’m just thinking this now I don’t know these folk’s politics but it would seem to me that if Trump put out the call A LOT OF A CALIBER Acts would be climbing the fences of the White House to get on stage). The Gateway Pundit in another article said that Dumbocrat are like 30% (@ best) of the Country. NOT 60% as they try to claim. The Left is dying on the vine and the MAJORITY of folk’s see it with their own eyes. We are TIRED of being told we don’t see what we see or hear what we hear. We are tired of the divisive attempts to destroy us from within. I bet ya if you say we need a Blues band, a folk band, R&B, Rock, Metal etc. you would have enough acts to put on a continuous 3 day event!.
WE THE PEOPLE want Happiness, SAFTEY, Friggin’ JOY dammit! I said JOY! . We’re tired of this CRAP from folk’s who are STILL trying to put their hands on our wallets!. Tired of Antiphucks, MKULTRA Assassins and these damn ‘Rhino’s’ stabbing America in the back—Why are they still breathing anyway?
Y’all I TRUST THE PLAN but I am going on record here: IF WE DON’T SEE those supposed ARRESTS AND TRIBUNALS (along with the sentencing of Life or death sentences before the Fourth of July?---- I’m not going anywhere ! Backyard Bar-B-Que for us, Gun on the hip, AR leaning against the side of the house real close. There were (3) Officer involved shooting last week alone, the Road Rage is UP!, Folk’s are angry @ the .gov (or the seemingly lack of response to all the Paid rioting, Mass Theft, and Voter Fraud in the maybe up coming Mid Terms. I’ve thought for a long time ‘The Plan’ would work-----but folk’s keep dying, Criminals keep getting out of jail free cards and Thune’s Rhino’s continue to obstruct. It ain’t right.

God Bless America! Keep your friends close and your enemies CLOSER!

We have lots of things to do up here in and around Boston. We are planning to attend the annual reading of the Declaration of Independence from the Old State House building On July 4, same building and balcony from which it was originally read in 1776. They do this every year but haven’t been yet so figured this is the year.

They’re also having a Tall Ships week in the Boston Harbor we’ll likely check out as well.

My wife and I just toured the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow - Washington’s Headquarters House which was George Washington’s first long-term headquarters during the Revolutionary War. This is a pic of the room he chose as his office and the table where he sat and worked during his station there.

See the tall ships. It is awesome.

USS Constitution is great too. Be sure to call to ensure that the lower decks are accessible that day. Don’t bring any weapons, even a pocket knife.

Gloucester/Rockport too. Eat at The Causeway.

If you like bikes, hit Cycles 128 in Beverly on the way up/back. There’s a museum upstairs.

If you’re in Malden, absolutely do not miss https://newdealfruit.com/ I mean
dude.

Boston has a lot of history
but there’s a lot more to offer outside of the city of bad drivers.

I’m avoiding any celebration that involves large crowds. I fully expect that there will be terrorist attacks, whether from muzzies or liberals.

I might attend local celebrations, but I haven’t made any plans.

Man oh man, time flies. My family and I saw Opsail '76 by boat, Newport RI and followed them down to NYC. Dad took over 700 photos, no digital stuff back then. It was great, had the alleged Columbian torture ship “Esmerelda” guarded by our Coasties, Russias ‘Khruzenstern’ (spelled that wrong I’m sure), and loads and loads of other tall ships. Times have changed, so have I. Quite content to go for a hike, maybe shoot a bit, and sit on the deck watching nature this time around. My support for “freedom” at present is helping a friend of mine escape the marxism that is CT these days. Hits me as ironic and sad how Boston and Michelle Wu/Maura Healey are home to a celebration of our supposed freedom and “leaders” of a state that started our quest for independence.
Edit to add an interesting tidbit of information. Germanys “Gorch Foch” is a sistership of our tall ship “Eagle”, as we liberated the Eagle from Germany at the end of WWII.

Of course, it’s been a while but I always enjoyed a “Bloody Mary” at Legal Sea Foods.

They are classified as “food”, right?

You can have a firearm in your vehicle, just declare that at the security check point. A very nice young lady decked out in full combat gear said, just make sure you secure your vehicle. I have also went in on my motoand they said just secure the firearm and don’t walk around with it. They have a sign before the check point stating NO FIREARMS, but I wanted to see what happened, being fully prepared to turn around. They did NOT turn me around and were very professional and gracious.
