All In The Mindset

I’ve never been in his shoes but can imagine what he goes through every day.

@Johnnyq60 A former Navy Seal and CIA contractor talking about social anxiety, relationships, trust, anger-management, alcohol abuse and building self-esteem. I can see how some can be dismissive of his message. He curses a lot. Suicide rates among the military are still climbing. Highest demographic in US. I can imagine folks saying “Yeah, they use bad language so not worth understanding.”

I am sure there are those with that mindset. But we as a community can help them on a one by one basis. As a lot of us out here know. The choice to carry should come with the mindset of being able to use it in defense. But also that mindset has to be developed through training.

The Towers going down still live in me. Lost a couple of colleagues. I will never forget.

@Johnnyq60
I am sorry! I hate to use a cliche but, they died protecting and savings the american people. You all know a burden and love that the average person will never understand! Your connection is still there.

No disrespect to him or veterans what so ever! I should have been more clear. The weight of topic made me tired. It was a long heavy video. I am duty driven. So, the ones I relate to the most are military or leo’s. Average people have no clue how much it takes for a duty driven person to survive in the general non law enforcement/military world. I have a lot of veterans in my family. Military and leo’s are the ones who understands me. One of my favorite (for lack of a better term) celebrities is Tim Kennedy. He is always thinking! He hates sitting still! I love the mind set of be ready to risk your life to protect the innocent but, be so good at it that you do not have to die doing it! I am sorry for the misunderstanding @Jeff-A1

Tired from, not tired of.

I started this topic with a hope to help people that are first-time firearms owners. A hope that folks would realize just owning a dangerous tool is more dangerous than being committed to defending themselves and loved ones from violent people with criminal intent. Mindset is an essential component. You can have the best firearm, great gun-handling skills and a fancy holster. If you are not committed and accept the responsibility of being a “front-line” defender then you have paperweight that can be used against you.

If you do not listen to anything else. Skip to minute 33:00 and sit back.
P.S. it is all important!

Something I definitely recommend is watching self-defense videos from A.S.P. (active self protection) on Youtube. Daily or at least several times a week. It will help your mind set!

Here is one to get started.
