No duty whatsoever to protect us. Though there are exceptions, for example where a police officer(s) create a danger that did not exist before they came along. A good example of this is the case of the woman who was arrested by cops near railroad tracks. The idiot police officers left the suspect sitting in a police cruiser while it was parked on the railroad tracks. A train came along and rammed the car, crushing it on down the tracks with the woman inside. She lived.
The officers lied in court, of course, one saying he didn’t know someone was in the car, the other saying she didn’t know the cruiser was parked on the tracks. But, yeah, piggers have that duty to protect when they cuff you and stuff you. They do not take it seriously, obviously, but they are supposed to.
Police officers are, for the most part, reckless, unconscious stupid losers.
Anyway, no duty to protect, or “The Public Duty Doctrine”. South v. Maryland (1856); Warren v. District of Columbia (1981), more.
Sure, here’s another cop created tragedy for no reason whatsoever.
Cops take a person into to their care and murder him, standing around watching while he desperately needs immediate medical attention.
Note the calm smugness of the cops as they face plant the suspect and ruin his life for nothing.
I’ve often wondered why lawyers and doctors spend so much time going to med school, college, law school, etc. Don’t they know? All one need do is go to the twelve week crash course police academy and you come out a lawyer, a doctor, a driving expert, a firearms expert and a person of automatic moral superiority who is not to be questioned!
Why waste time getting educated when you can just go to the Police Academy?!
Watch the piggers murder this poor fella having a seizure. Laughing and joking while he’s being crushed to death into the floor.
See what I mean? It just never stops. Every day now the articles and video pour in. The crimes and malfeasance of cops laid bare for all to see. And these are just the ones we know about!
I hope each and every one of these pigs, paramedics included, go to jail.
There is no situation cops will not make dramatically worse. All they need do is show up.
As a person with epilepsy I can tell this is phucked up. Most seizures pass in 5-10 minutes. The best thing to do is let the person have the seizure and don’t let him hurt himself. Don’t restrain him like these guys did.
I was in the ER once having multiple seizures and it took 8 ppl to hold me down. They didn’t restrain me but they did sedate under a doctor’s supervision. Just injecting a person isn’t the answer. They had enough ppl there where each of his extremities could be held. Like they did in the ER to me. Telling me to don’t do something is stupidity since I don’t know who I am, where I am and anything you say doesn’t register. Making the cops go to extremes. Grab an arm or leg, put a pillow under his head and that’s it! This was stupidity on grand display by all involved.
That’s former police officer Dominick Izzo. He’s convinced, as I am convinced, that females do not make for good police officers and they should not be allowed on the force. He likes making fun of them. I like joining in the fun.
I’ve had to register my medical condition with several departments. Police nearly killed me. I have a condition called Addison’s. To much adrenaline can send me into a coma and dead if not treated within a very short time. Long story short I had an episode I’m going down and my wife is in bathroom. Get a LEO attention ask for help. An Addison episode can initially look like a narcotics od. So I can understand using Narcan, it’s a great diagnostic tool and not really harmful. Except the LEO’S give me 5 doses of Narcan, then as each new level of EMS arrives they each give me additional Narcan (11 doses), if you push Narcan, is a narcotic antagonistif there isn’t an immediate effective improvement it’s not a narcotic od, by this time I’m down. Comatose (4 days) only reason I’m alive is wife saw the lights when she comes out of bathroom.
I wear an on body alarm, a medical bracelet and a flash drive with treatment instructions that all tell you to go into my right front pocket.
So all that Narcan made me throw up and I’m aspirating on puke in a comatose state and it took valuable treatment time, time that I didn’t have. So I participate in an enhanced type of 911 program now, that theoretically will get them the correct treatment. Plus I am very vigilant and if I even think that I am stressed I take my emergency dose.
I don’t blame the LEO’s they don’t really know any better recourse but the FD medics, the Ambulance medics, and finally the Flight medics and initial ER Dr. Yeah, them I blame for the extreme amount of Narcan. Narcan Is a one shot diagnostic tool. No improvement you move on. Not keep pushing it.
