It’s time to wake up, and forget Hollywood scenarios - you haven’t got TIME to aim for precise shots to disarm your attacker. He or she has already considered you an easy score, and has determined to do you some level of harm to make that score - what their pea-brains DON’T want is attention, resistance, or injuries trying to make that score.

If ever in such emergency, I think “center mass”, middle of the chest; Why?:
- To hit, not to miss 3” to 10” off target (when I might responsible)
- Time is of the essence
- Would be a stressful moment
- Shooting to stop, not kill nor cause suffering
- Only so many rounds
- Out of respect to my adversary, “I got a code”
- I never hit below the belt, unless that’s the only visible target
I prefer copper ammo, not lead; Both can stop, no more, no less, I’m not there to torture or make suffer, I’m there to live, and if life depends on it, defend

Not in all states. In NV if you are cleared in a SD shooting the family cannot come after you for wrongful death.
