According to the reason given was Russia deploying the use of a chemical weapon during an “uprising” and the poisoning of Navallny…
Yet no sanctions against Twitter or Facebook for their collaborations with the Taliban or Chinese interference in free nations sovereignty !
Russia will get even… it won’t last long.

It will tighten up the ammo supplies keeping prices up. Biden is desperate to change the subject from Afghanistan right now. I am sure there will be other moves like this by him to try and get back in the good graces of the left and punish his political enemies.

If you are truly American, you should embrace free discussions and accept that others may have a different opinion than your own. We have freedom of speech and should not allow censorship and requiring everyone to follow the current ruling mob’s demands.

totally missed what I’m saying, so I deleted it…
I’ll make it simple. The US does not have any computers without foreign (mainly chinese) components in them, so typing you buy only American on a cell phone or computer is not true. No need to get so hot headed, you may find we’re on the same side.
As for you responding to my original post, that’s a link to another post. I also don’t have any Russian ammo.

Good morning @Charles57. Thank you for your service!

This post is about banning imports of guns and ammo from Russia. It does not violate any of the Community Guidelines and isn’t any sort of endorsement. It’s an interesting discussion topic right now for many reasons.

Is there something more with this topic that we’re missing?

I changed the title of this thread from a web address to the title from the opening post.

The USCCA “allows” these kinds of posts because the content is of general interest to the firearms community, not to mention the implied ramifications to free markets and individual liberty and the rule of law.

Besides, not “allowing” certain viewpoints because of personal offense is the beginning of authoritarian censorship based on nothing more than an individual’s subjective feelings. In other words, the current tactical vangaurd of the far-left in their quest to destroy traditional American values.

May I respectfully suggest a re-reading of the 1st Amendment, along with some contemporary commentaries regarding its importance and application?

I am even more concerned about litmus tests society seems to want to impose on others. The freedom to express oneself is as basic as life itself. To censor posts is not in keeping with American tradition in any sense of the word.

The ban on Tula and wolf won’t begin until sept. 2023. Get it while you can.

All set. Got my supply when times were good, and no steel case. My guns mainly run NATO rounds, present/former, and I found that to be a good move.

The issue is not buying goods from Russia or China. The issue is that, with an almost infinite number of economic, social, and political options to punish Russia, the administration chose one that will most impact American citizens owning 7.62 x 39 weapons rather than damage the economic integrity of Russia. I read that ammo comprises less than 1% of the total of Russian exports to the US, but 40% of US ammo purchases are Russian made. That alone should tell you that the US decision about the ammo ban is not to punish Russia, but rather, to punish American citizen gun owners.

Get your head out of your Vietnam a** and stop living in the past. It’s a global economy, and it’s impossible not to buy Chinese made items. The food may be made in the US, but the bottle is made in China. WAKE UP ! And thank you for your service.

Every manufacturer is running at capacity already, and we still have more demand than supply. Reducing the supply of any type of ammunition can’t help. It seems like things that were starting to loosen up have re-tightened. Whether that’s because of this thing or not, I don’t know. It just seems like a set back.
The Dems are always looking for creative ways to turn the screws on gun owners. I’m supposed to believe they didn’t intend this?

When supplies are hard to find you take what you can get TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND LOVED ONE’S. To judge someone as un-American is insulting and arrogant. If American manufacturers were keeping up 99% of the people here would be buying American.
