Let me answer by saying I Haven’t masturbated since I got married over 20 years ago. You are correct I (and probably most on these forums, I think) have not had the direct experience you’ve had. I was fortunate in that when I did have to draw my piece the guy ran away. It was still an adrenaline rush even though I did not pull the trigger. As in a tactical self-defense class most of us are here to learn. I don’t purport to be an expert (as you apparently are). My statement was based on assumptions and you certainly corrected those. Besides, mental masturbation is best when it’s real. Yes?

Not an expert, not in any way, shape, or form. I’ve had the misfortune to have had a few incidents that could have gone off the rails. Was not correcting anyone either. It was definitely not my intention to offend either. I clipped your comment because I thought you made a great point that I wanted to amplify.
Watching that video was hard. I’ve watched it before. I’m very pro Law Enforcement and thinking about having to pull off a Tueller Drill style stop like the LEO had to do… So to anyone who hasn’t been in that kind of fighting for your life, it’s hard to criticize her no matter what her choices were.

I get where you’re coming from. Sometimes my sarcasm is beyond reproach. Hehe… I was thinking about what you said. Since my incident anyone who I don’t know personally that I see approach me, I admit I dunno how to explain it but I get uncomfortable. Memories stay with you. For better or worse.

That was a machete, and the officer that was attacked was standing only a few feet from the perp, turning his head every which way, not keeping his eyes on the perp - the reason the perp decided to attack him.
