3 months but alive!

After two heart procedures, falling and being rushed to the hospital, 3 weeks in the hospital and 8 weeks of rehab I am finally home! First I’m going to praise God for bringing me through this. Secondly I want to thank my lovely fiance for being a huge help here at home. Thirdly let me thank everyone here for their prayers and well wishes.

I still have a long way to go to get back to the range, currently using a walker and rediscovering how to do simple things for myself at home. God bless you all.

Stroke, RA diagnosis, two knee replacements, one hip replacement. Died twice during surgeries. On a first name basis with all the PT folks at the hospital. I own not one, but two walkers (but no longer use them). All since November 2019.

Going to Vortex Edge classes for long range shooting in August. Gonna shoot 1,000 yards. Been to Pompei and walked 5k on my metal joints (on my bucket list), toured the Vatican Museum (also on my bucket list where I caught my 2nd round of Covid).

Keep on livin’ my friend. Every day on this side of the grass is a gift. Don’t waste any of 'em. Lots of kind, generous people in the world. Appreciate them.

Glad you are home and on the path to recovery!

It took me several weeks after my hospital stay to finally get away from having to use the walker to get around the house. 8 months later and I was hiking 10 plus miles a day in some pretty rough terrain for work. Keep plugging away and you’ll be back on your feet before you know it:)

I feel compelled to add my story of survival facing impossible odds to your growing list of well-wishers. It is as incredible a story as it is witness to the fact that evidence of God’s hand controlling events in our lives is obvious to those who seek His truth. As her advocate, I was witness to my wife’s survival. She made history at age 9 at the Mayo Clinic in 1956, made history again when I met her 10 years later and was part of the early heart surgery history that made your survival - and hers again in 2014 - possible.

The story itself is far too long to tell here, and often times stories like hers are revealed to us only in retrospection, but if you are curious and would appreciate an inspirational reading experience . . . drop me a line at [email protected]. God Bless you and yours.
