Well @Mike164 what deal did Trump get for reversing the tariffs. It is a 90 day hold on the tariffs … I hope they work something out.. Keep in mind, that they will always charge us a tariff. It is one of the ways there government raises funds off their people. Like they do with other countries . If you look at countries that they have free trade with they have an invested interest in doing so for raw materials.

A win is exactly what we got today…
They are charging us 10% right now… in 2022 it was 5.41% … Not sure how this is winning … Now I hope it goes down. It will mean we will sell more to china and increase our GDP . Right now I know people that are getting 3 days off a week because of this trade war . Their company sells stuff to china…
China agreed to work with the U.S. to address the flow of the precursor drugs used to manufacture fentanyl coming from China. This is something, I hope, that even the democrats would call a win.
It was also agreed that China would remove and/or adjust their non-tariff trade barriers, whether that means direct changes in their own country, an acceptance of tariffs to offset those barriers or a combination. Separate but related to this, they’ve agreed to open their markets to our products. The latter alone will bring a massive amount of money back to U.S. producers.
This is just a portion of what was discussed and laid the framework for a comprehensive trade deal to be worked on and finalized over the next 90 days.
This Administration (and his prior) have done more to level the trade playing field than any other Administration over the last several decades.
Doing the right thing isn’t always easy and is sometimes painful, neither change the fact that it was the right thing to do.
What exactly did we win? It’s not like either side gave concessions other than saying the added tariffs would be suspended for 90 days so the win is we are back at square one or where we were before the tariffs were applied. This did not bring manufacturing back to the US and we are not going to be in a better position in 90 days. If the idea is to make tariffs so painful that US companies bring manufacturing to the US that is not going to happen in 90 days. China has Trump by the nuts and it’s because they know the United States embraced Globalism over 100 years ago where our leaders then envisioned a US economy based on innovation and services, where we invented technology but offloaded the labor to poorer nations. This allowed even the poorest homes in the US to have a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, television, car, computers and cell phones. If we move to Trump’s idea on manufacturing it will mean 11% of this country will not be able to afford any of those things and more than likely 30% will have to live without 1 of more of those items. No 1st world country should want to be in the position of being the worlds manufacturer, it indicates stagnate wages and terrible working conditions.
I agree in the concept … In the passed china has said things like this and done nothing substantial to curb it … So I hope this time they mean it … I will not be holding my breath on this…
One of the things China has done in the passed. If you want to sell to them products with materials they manufacture then you need to build a plant there… Something I wish the US did …
Now watch, knowing China they will agree to most the stuff but hold one thing as a stumbling point… How they handle this will be interesting .
Trump got another hostage back today. Trump got China to the table and got them to admit they lapsed on their commitments while biden was in charge. They got an agreement, albeit for 90 days. Trump signed the drug Price EO today. Stock market made a lot of people a lot of money today.

The term “PTSD” was officially recognized as a psychiatric diagnosis in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-III) in 1980… Before that term was adopted. It was known as Soldier’s heart in the civil war.
